We need pure progressive BS like we need a bad case of hemorrhoids. We also don't need the ultra conservative BS either. Somewhere in the middle would be fine.

Somewhere in the middle is Clinton. Democrats need to run pure progressives. Let GOP run middle of the road if they want to.

Word's going to come down from the donors to the plebeians, tea baggers, and other subspecies of H. Dumbfvckistanus to support Jeb Bush this time around.

I don't see the TEA Party supporting Jeb Bush, if for no other reason than his stance on immigration.

Clinton is only in the middle of single-handedly helping to destroy our current economy, way more than Reagan, Bush Jr. or Obama. Not to beat a dead horse, but NAFTA, GATT, WTO, Glass-Steagall's repeal all signed-off under this one President.

And progressives have done more harm to reverse our Constitutional Republic than any liberal or conservative in history. I mostly spit on the graves of T. and F.D. Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson. The power they robbed has never been given back, only abused for decades.

Just Teddy Roosevelt's "big stick" interventionism alone (a clear subversion of the Constitution) made progressive into a dirty word to me and anyone who despises eternal wars.

Glass Steagal repeal, NAFTA, etc, is what you get when you only have "middle of the road" and conservative to choose from. So don't complain if you got what you wanted.

No not all of America. If it were it would already be done.

Medical marijuana is overwhelmingly supported and recreational legalization has a slim margin of approval over disapproval. It also passed everywhere it was on the ballot as a question except Florida where it needed 60% (got 57%) where it will likely pass in the next cycle.

I find the conservative obsession with freedom and small government at odds with the fetish they seem to have for drug prohibition.

Massive amounts of money was poured into fighting the legal medical marijuana legislation by a multimillionaire who owns drug treatment centers.

Romney had to hurry up and say he's running because he and Jeb Bush's donors overlap significantly. But those same donors are far more loyal to the Bush family than Romney. Also, in 2012, compared to everyone else, Romney was the 'safe' default candidate. With Bush in the running, he definitely is not. This Republican nomination process is Jeb Bush's to lose.

I have to say, I'd rather have Romney than Jeb. Romney is at least a little more progressive than Jeb.

Which Romney are you referring to? Governor Romney? 2012 Romney? Or the current Romney?

Or by more progressive do you really mean, less right wingy?

To those advocating progressives, let me remind you that Termites are also progressive. Detroit failed under progressive ideology and every other major city that has turned into a slum has also had too much progressive leadership for too long. It doesn't work and will not work, but yet there is so much denial.

If Romney runs again it will be lost for Republicans. He totally choked in the debate regarding Benghazi and played Mr nice guy. Automatic loss if he runs.

I don't know if you can say Detroit failed because of progressive policies. I imagine Detroit failed because of the nature of capitalism. Auto makers left Detroit or competition shut them down. Any city relying on one particular industry as it's main source of income is bound to fail when that source leaves.

Did progressivism save detroit? No but what progressive ideas were used to save the city? Could conservatism have saved it? It's doubtful.

Detroit is a democrat strong hold but I don't think it constitutes a good example of progressivism.

Hey. Mitt has spent months bleaching his face skin.
He's whiter than ever.
New and improved.
And besides, HE HAS SEEN GOD.
Exactly what the republican right are looking for.

Is that every single American must be in favor of something a rational threshold for enacting legislation or passing a referendum?
