Romney is a mechanical device that can easily erase and change his positions based on what the user wants to see, and so is Etch a sketch.

If you have to explain it, it's a failed analogy. Mine needs no explaining.

This is why the party-based system is failing people who want actual change. I'd rather put Obama, Romney, Santorum, Paul, and Gingrich in direct debates with each other, and let the people vote for their candidate based on those debates. Instead, each one has to pander to the partisan politics of his side if he's to have any chance at all.

Too bad the republicans wouldn't let the CHANGE happen. But we know how the repubs feel about change. ;)

Ignorant comment. Repubs are ok with change if they feel the change is for the better. They didn't go along with Obama's change cuz they knew it was the wrong direction for the country. I'm talking about the average Rep out in the country, not necessarily the politicians mind you.

Dems can be just as bigoted and close-minded as they portray the opposition to be. Often times, feedback is about the giver.

That's exactly how we feel, in the rest of the world, when we look at American politics.
And we care what you think, too. A lot. And I'm not just saying that. We just can't show it because, you know, we're all gun-crazed cowboys and it wouldn't look cool to admit we care. But deep down inside we're all a'flutter over how you feel.

Or it might just be gas. Hard to tell sometimes.

Open government
No lobbyists
Public review time for bills before voting & signing

All completely under his purview without need to involve your "obstructionists"

Don't forget GitMo. Obama could have transfered the military detainees somewhere else without the approval of Congress. He is the Commander In Chief and Congress cannot take away that power.

They can say there is no money for it...but money can always be found.

Leavenworth and Terre Haute come to mind.

Best would be to expand Attu Station, Alaska

I was thinking of using a US Military base in Germany.
There can be problems with overseas bases. Host government can have some veto power.

Also, they are not setup as prisons.

Romney will go from having conservative positions to moderate positions.

just like Obama went from having liberal positions to moderate positions (ending the war in Iraq, the Public Option, closing Guantanamo, encouraging openness in government, etc)

regardless of what positions they actually take, Republicans will still label Obama as the most liberal President in history and I'm sure Democrats will still label Romney as the most right-wing candidate to run for President in history.

And nothing more needs to be said.

We already know he has flip flopped in the past... what does anybody expect to change? The guy is clearly a fraud. If him and Mr Frothy are really going to be the only choice, Obama has it in the bag.

If it comes down to it I may even vote for obama simply out of spite.

Does anyone think Obama would have won if he had said "I am actually going to be almost identical to Bush, only I will not only continue all of Bush's flaws, but will include a host of my own to the mix"?

This is what Obama actually did, but not what he campaigned on.

I wouldn't vote for a Repug at gunpoint, with that said I don't think he would have won the Primary let alone the General Election. Oh you forgot to mention how McSame distanced himself from Dubbaya too. ;)

I certainly hope they do. I would assume people prioritizing infanticide over gas prices is a healthy act.

I promise I won't threadjack.

Killing brainless cells is more important than killing 100k fully grown innocent Iraqi civilians!

I laughed out loud when I saw this on TV. Even though it is widely understood, it really is a bad thing when you and your people can be so candid about it. Kind of like when Pete Rose said it was all about the money, not the game, not the fans, not the team, and pissed off a zillion fans, especially kids

This will be a long term classic.
