since receiving popular science magazine, i keep seeing an ad for this machine. now at $14K, i don't plan on buying one anything soon, but i'm wondering if anyone here's heard of it. it seems to use principles of high intensity interval training, but i can't imagine a 4 minute workout being effective.

i'm looking at the machine and i can't even figure out how to use it

EDIT: video linK: http://www.fastexercise.com/media/ well, now i finally see how it works. looks like a rowing machine with a stair climber, but that stretches you out more. *shrug*

If it works, it flies in the face of everything I know about the physical sciences...

I like how they say it costs $14K and that it is cheap in the same sentence. I guess that is from the health club owners perspective because most people who buy home equipment use it twice before quitting. That's almost $1000/minute...

And it is endorsed by "time-management gurus" -- it is 10000x better than any cardio or weight training or stretching routine, of course it must cost as much as a boat! :p

Hahah they will send a trial (rental) one for 30 days if I cough up $3500. If I make the "rare" choice of returning it, I will receive $1000 back :Q What a deal, only about $85/day to test it out.

The biggest problem is that 4 minutes sounds too good to be true for a complete non-impact cardio, resistance- and flexibility workout. If there really would exist such a thing, then obviously everybody in the World would know about it.
Hey, they admit it on their own site. The road a lazy person takes to their goals is filled with lots of scams.

If you believe that, I have a special pill that will make you loose 100 lbs in a week. Of course it will look like an Excedrin aspirin tab but don't let that fool you.........

Four minutes isn't long enough to get your heart rate up unless it involve watching a train headed straight for you with no way to get out of the way.

yeah.... 4 minutes will definitely make you burn enough calories to pull off a "jared"

people need to stop looking for miracles and put their asses in gear. If you wanna lose weight, it's gonna take more than a box of pilles and a time machine looking contraption

sc@m . If you live in the N Hollywood area, ask them to let you try out a machine for a week free of charge at their facility. If it as great as they say, then they will have no problem setting you up because it would lead to a 14K sale. They wont do this because their product is crap and they make all of their money on the "rental fees". I would be shocked to find out that this company has actually sold any of these things.

Haha, I saw that thing in Popular Science, too. Maybe if you did it for 30 or 45 minutes a day it would be pretty effective.
