I'm getting so tired of this. Whenever trump says he doesn't know someone, it basically means he knows them intimately and had direct conversations about the very thing he is being asked about.

You seem to have completely forgotten that Trump doesn't know any of these people, and they were barely involved in this campaign at all. They might have gotten coffee for his secretaries aid at some point, and took a quick picture with Trump because he takes pictures with lots of people. But he totally doesn't know any of them.

He's tried this gambit with everyone he knows who gets prosecuted for or is suspected of anything criminal. He even tried to do this with Paul Manafort who was his campaign manager.

If Mike Pence is ever brought up on charges, Trump will be like "Mike Pence? Who's that guy?" "Er, he's your Vice President." "Oh yeah, had totally forgotten about that. In any case, I've only talked to the guy a couple times. If he walked into the room right now, I wouldn't know him from Adam!"
