Sounds as if the above is a direct threat to this idea.

Seems they are indeed going to try and stop women travelling to another state for an abortion. If they can

Then presumably that would include any bus company or airline someone used to travel to a state where abortion was legal, thus making it near-impossible for women to travel to seek an abortion? At a stretch it might even make interstate transportation companies hesitant about allowing pregnant women to use their services at all. Would a small car-hire firm risk renting a car to a woman who might be travelling to get an abortion?

Not just pregnant women, but women in general. You can't really tell when a woman is a few weeks pregnant. My guess is that soon women are going to have to sign a waiver stating that they are not pregnant or planning to get an abortion in order to board a plane.

My guess is they won't do that because that would alert the people in their states of just how crazy their laws are and their hope seems to be to make draconian laws that for the most part only women who become pregnant become aware of. So basically terrorize pregnant women and medical staff while having the rest of the state be blissfully unaware.

I'm not sure of the exact timing but I think there's going to be a big backlash here. Americans in general really don't like these laws but the internal politics of the Republican Party still rewards being even more extreme than they already are. That's a recipe for people getting sick of this shit.

You guys do realize the reason Matt Gaetz and Ted Cruz and all those mouth breathers say these things is precisely because that’s how you get attention and improve your stature in right wing circles. The more you piss off the libs the more they like you so it’s essentially a competitive exercise at who can say the most outrageous things.
Shouldn't he be in jail by now?! Justice moves so slow 🙁

Remember how all the right wing media got such a hard on about the leaked memo

They went 24x7 about the memo. SCOTUS was launching an investigation

Interesting, we haven’t heard any results and right wing media hasn’t mentioned it in a long time

My spidey senses are tingling somethings up
Anyone have of an update? Turns out Roberts was trying to turn 2 justices into not ending Roe completely. Then the leak happened.

Right wing media was blaming the progressive justices. I don't have evidence, but my instincts say this has Clarence Thomas or his staff written all over it.

We should have the leaker by now. Why no word?

A leak from the right would not be a shock.

They're less likely to find the leaker than somebody admit to it a while down the line out of pride.

Youre confused lol
No universal healthcare. Representatives who actively subvert democracy. Representatives who bow to the whims of large corporate interests. Poor public transportation infrastructure. Expensive telecommunications infrastructure. A president who attempted a coup and still maintains popular support among 1 if the 2 major political parties. Courts stripping away rights like bodily autonomy. 1 of 2 major political parties using racist scare tactics as primary means of garnering support. 1 of 2 major political parties actively disenfranchising voters.

Yeah, sure sounds like a paradise to me.
