Awesome new DLC.

If you guys haven't checked out the custom DLC collection at smithyanvil, you should take a look. The community there is really opposed to pirating the released DLC, so they take stuff down as it comes out in the DLC packs, but you can find just about everything else (or put in a request).

Yes, I have played lots of the custom DLC songs. There is a moderate list of "approved" custom DLC, and a massive list of songs that are "submitted for approval".

You just need one legit DLC to use the custom ones. Almost everyone uses "Cherub Rock" since it came free with preorders.
 
Now you guys have got me interested in this game. I already have a guitar and have played for probably 18 years (wow time flies, good lord) but I haven't picked it up in a long time and am not very good anyway. I'm sure I'd learn a lot if I bought the game. TEMPTING

Are we going to be able to access our DLC from Steam?

I ended up picking up RS 2014 yesterday and played for a couple hours or so. At first the calibration didn't work and I got a "check your Rocksmith cable" message but after some Googling suggested to unplug and plug back in the cable (not the USB end, the part where it's round between the USB and guitar plug ends) that fixed it.

While playing Blitzkrieg Bop it keeps saying I am missing the A5 chord (just 5th fret low e string and 7th fret A string, and the "Miss" is by the A string) but I also did some searching online for that and it seems it may be because I'm only hitting the chord once and I'm supposed to be hitting it multiple times.

I don't see this as a replacement for the living room... it'd be useful to have a portable version in the office for an occasional break or bring it around to a friend's house to show off RS or just mess around.

Yea, I actually hook my pc up to my 70" when I play this. Much easier to see. I still suck, but getting better!

The notes and note highway must be HUGE on a 70" 😱
