Oh I know there are a lot of them that are stupid but asking if an island would capsize stupid?! That is just different level stupidity, stupidity that literally has me at a loss for words to even describe it right now.

ANTARTICA IS GROWING ICE!

I know because I talked to a guy and didn't understand what he was saying but he must have said that because I know it's true.

That part WAS true, for Antarctica Sea Ice.
At this point, it seems possible that trend reversed during the recent warm(est) years since the latest El Nino.

It's understandable that they'd ignore the latest data in favor of what makes them feel good.

Speaking as a resident of Huntsville, there's just so much I could say about Mo, none of it positive. I just keep telling myself that it could be worse though. The ads that are being ran against him (it's primary season here) are pretty much all of the form that accuse him of being a RINO for being inadequately Trumpy.

I will give Mo credit that he started his question by referring to sediment contributions by rivers. Following up on his thesis, and taking the numbers provided in the links below at face value, river contributions of sediment to the oceans can explain about 2.6% of annual sea level change.

However, the weight of sediments in large river deltas deflect the sea floor downward beneath the delta (partially compensated with a fore-delta bulge in the sea floor) so the overall contribution of sediment transport by rivers to the ocean explains less than 2.6% of annual sea level rise.

Which is probably the real cause for global warming. They are warm blooded right? All that body heat has to be going somewhere, and that somewhere is the ice around them. Ergo the growing polar bear population is causing polar ice cap melt. As anyone that has ever drank an iced tea (like a good southerner!) know that when the ice melts the tea gets warm. Therefore polar bears body heat melting the polar ice caps are causing global warming. My suggested solution is more guns to hunt the bears.

Can I have my appointment to a high level position now?

Straight to the top for this gentleman.

Holy crap... How the hell do these idiots get elected?
Because the people who elect them are even bigger idiots. But you understand. I hope, that there is a whole portion of America that was raised in a cultural condition where if you show any interest in learning anything you are ridiculed to high heavens. Everybody knows that critical thinking leads to heretical deviation and a one way ticket to hell. Anybody who can think is viewed as extremely dangerous.
