The birth place for Christianity in Israel, so one would need to kill off all the Christians in the US in order for the country to ever allow Israel to parish.

What challenge from the Arab Spring?

We are seeing what has happened in Libya and Egypt and Syria.

Stability is the fear of being beaten up.
Will Egypt new masters think on challenging Israel?
Syria at present has no interest.
Lebanon as a government will not; Hezbollah was handed their asses last time; they seem to be trying to toe the line w/ respect to Isreal, but not the overall truce.
Jordan is not an issue.

Again LL; who is going to take on Isreal to force her to involuntarily change.:whiste: Waiting on your famous prediction that the UN will bitchslap Israel. Has not happened. The Sept 2011 Palestinian issue no longer exists - there is no Palestinian state being pushed out the womb and/or forced onto Israel.

Your embargo predictions have been shown to be full or hot air.
Your military blockade runners have failed to show.
Turkey has softened her stance.
Even Iran did not try to challenge Isreal when their warships visited the Med. That would have been a perfect chance to escort supplies to Gaza and demonstrate solidarity; score political points

What an interesting contention, since historically "Christians churches" have always regarded the Jews as Christ killers. Of course its stupid and false INMO, but it still accounted for much of historical antisemitism.

In terms of the USA, the only thing that has changed that position is the resent rapture doctrine folks. A very big thing in the GWB white house.

As the rapture doctrine asserts, once a Israeli state missing in action for 1800 years achieves new highs of brutality conditions not yet met, its will cause a total battle between the forces of good Versus evil on the plains of Armageddon in fulfillment of biblical prophesy. As Jesus Christ himself will come back in his second coming to lead the forces of good against the forces of evil. And after that final victory, it will be the end times of judgment day. As only those Christians who are pure of heart will assent to heaven, as for the rest of us, including the Jews, we will remain on earth to suffer the torments of hell. Until God himself ends the suffering by killing all humans.

In other words, the Jews are just a necessary consumable ingredient to cause the second coming of Jesus Christ, and once the Jews fulfill their mission, they too will go to hell with the rest of those who are evil. A total rapture doctrine that holds out little hope for Jews either.

Jerusalem and Bethlehem are important sites to all Christians worldwide. Due to this fact as long as the US is a predominately Christian country the government will do all it can to support Israel and/or protect the country from attack.
 
Even Obama, an obvious Muslim supporter and Israel antagonist, will not overtly say he will not support Israel. In fact, in public he says he supports Israel.

Votes are important to politicians.

Somebody here posts at the level of an individual with a compulsive disorder...

These are normal events... Every time around the end of the year, violence sparks up more then usual in the ME it seems...

I do know that terrorists on both sides will not stop. It will happen again more then you think... As long as both sides preach religious and genetic superiority over the other... Fights will continue to happen... Both sides keep feeding this hatred towards each other... Massacres will happen again... It is the desire of both sides. Both sides cannot be helped as long as both sides think they can do anything out of the name of... And ask forgiveness for the hurt both sides caused themselves only to cause the same hurt in the near future again...

Both sides are now on their own... Both sides can do all the rituals they desire... It will not help them...
 
I have not heard either side of the conflict claim genetic sureriority over the other. Religious? Sure, but that is to be expected. Everyone believes their own religion is superior to other religions. Heck, even the non-religious believe their lack of religion is superior to the religions.

Again cybrsage, somewhat the point until you realize its the job of politicians to bridge the gaps between people and resolve such disputes with reasonable compromises.

But not to pick on just the former Yugoslavia, when we have politicians who play the race card to get elected, we always get a total train wreck. Its our problem now, we have far too many rat fink politicians and a total lack of any statesmen. Or for that matter Stateswomen who can be equally effective in bridging the gaps of pure self interests.

Did you know there are Synagogues, Churches, and Mosques in Israel. How many Synagogues are there in the Palestinian held areas?

It is impossible to negotiate with someone whose primary demand (and one which is non-negitiable) is that you cease to exist. The Charter of HAMAS is very clear on this point.

It is also impossible for Israel to placate HezzbAllah by giving them back the Sheeba Farms...since Lebanon never actually owned them. Cannot give something back to someone who never had it in the first place.

Actually i have heard of it in some occasions. And i will admit that those individuals have an extremist view. And you will find them within many ethnic backgrounds. That i will admit. The kind of people that cause problems when they acquire power. Every religion that is claimed to be superior is a false religion, even the "lack of religion". The true strength is that it will show itself naturally. If it needs to be forced upon people, it is or has been corrupted and as such is corrupted... Superiority is fail for it is handed out by evolution to only be useful at one specific situation. On average there is no difference unless when being ill. But even then, growing up in the right environment has far more influence. The strength of the brain to overcome genetic limitations pure by learning and adapting if the will to do so is there. Of course, every religion has spin off versions where some are quite dangerous and harmful because of the extreme rituals and the message.Since the 3 Abrahamic religions are the most common in the west, these are the most known...

I would almost think of 3 options :
  1. You have to much spare time and like the forum very much.
  2. You have a personal agenda.
  3. You are getting payed for posting.
Do you need a hobby ?
Electronics can be a lot of fun, and there are a lot of free physics courses on google video and the MIT. Microsoft has free visual studio express software available...

I am on a lot of conference calls...some of them last for hours.

Right now, I am waiting for the mud on my walls of my newly sheetrocked walls to dry so they can be sanded. 🙂

Soon I will be taking some classes on the Cisco Datacenter, so my posting will drop considerably. The Nexus switches are very interesting devices...and some of my wealthier customers own a few of each type.


EDIT: I like reading other people's views and thoughts. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong (just recently did so about the life without parole discussion). The opposing view needs to be well laid out and supported. At that point, I take the best points of the other view and merge them with my own, making a better, stronger, view. That I am really enjoy debates and discussions. 🙂

I modified my post a bit on the late side. I apologize for that.

Learning is growing. History teaches that every time libraries are created and schools for the masses, humanity advances. It can be found in the history of all 3 Abrahamic religions (And of course on locations found on the earth where these religions did not reign). Every time after that a small group of individuals with extremists views claim that such knowledge only belongs to them and their god. A simple pattern it is. But what to do about it. How to maintain a balance...
