Robin Hood

Kevin Costner's Robin Hood was probably the best one I've ever seen. As much as I like Russel Crowe, this one I will pass

The trailers were enough to convince me NOT to see this movie. (maybe when it hits redbox...if I'm bored)

Just a bit TOO MUCH artistic license for my tastes.

Thanks for the review but just for the simple fact that some of you folks actually like Arrested Development, I will have to test it out for myself 🙂

It looks like an epic from the trailers.

Every movie set in the past with a big star at the helm now has to be an epic. It looks too much like Gladiator meets Braveheart.

Which sounds good in theory, but not with Robin Hood. Robin Hood is better off in the classic story telling styles. Even Men In Tights didn't stray too much in this respect (I love that movie).

You didn't like Arrested Development?

Go on; get out ->

I just got back and I enjoyed it. Fun movie, solid acting, solid storytelling. Was it what I expected? Nope, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's definitely not like any other Robin Hood tale, but I was glad for that.

its pretty horrible. i walked in expecting to see gladiator epicness and walked out thinking "if only this film could be more kingdom of heaven".

yeah, horrible. they should have just named it something else because it had nothing to do with the actual robin hood story

Haven't seen the new one yet, but I agree on the Costner thing. I loved that movie.

My parents bought that VHS for christmas one year, I think I've watched it 100 times :awe:.

[the Sheriff has said he'll cut out Robin Hood's heart with a spoon]
Guy of Gisborne: Why a spoon, cousin? Why not an axe?
Sheriff of Nottingham: Because it's DULL, you twit. It'll hurt more.
