Agreed, the ones in your picture are assholes. Same thing goes for those who realize at the last second they need to be in the right lane and end up blocking the "go straight" lane. Idiots like that need to realize that they need just go fucking straight and U-turn it later.

Isn't what you described exactly what the picture is?

I've done this many times. I consider myself a respectable aggressive driver. I don't tend to do more than 5 over, but when that light turns green, I am ready to go. I accelerate swiftly enough that I tend to do so more than most. But for whatever reason, I get people that stick right on my ass. One instance, I had rounded a corner from a red and a giant pickup got right up on my ass with his lights practically 4ft from my rear window, glaring right in my car and lighting up the whole interior. I had passengers with me, and I was a bit miffed as I was not putzing about. I then just let off the gas (up hill) and did so until the fucker braked. He did, I went on about my way, and he stayed back.

Ugh, of all the things, people that ride the ass of other drivers has to be the absolute worst. If you can pass, do it. If you can't, drive at a respectable distance from the person in front of you.

101. People who get behind me while I'm in the left lane of a non-limited access highway (that has left turns) and try to force me over to the right, especially when my left turn is coming up (they act like everyone in the left lane is breaking the law because they are not smart enough to understand that EVERY left lane ISN'T the FAST lane).

My most "aggressive" posturing tends to be momentary tailgaiting. I basically don't do it on city streets, or anywhere where you can turn at practically any moment.

But, even if it's a highway with frequent left turns, you don't park your ass in the left lane miles ahead. I've seen that, and it's annoying.

But most of my highway experience are normal highways with rare left turns. If someone is traveling in the left lane, with plenty of opportunities to move to the right lane (and, as is often the case, enough space for me to pass on the right)... I'll get myself a prominent position in their mirrors. I've accepted that 99% of people are unwilling/unable to learn, but my goal is to teach people the error in their ways. I do not wish to pass on the right - it can be dangerous. Even if it's not dangerous at the moment, people need to get it out of their heads that what they are doing, just travelling at the speed limit or barely above in the left lane, is not at all acceptable if the right light is open to them and traffic wishes to pass them.

Quite often, I'll have three or four cars pass us both on the right, and then I'll give them a moment or two to think about what just happened... sometimes they finally get the message, sometimes I'm still forced to pass on the right.

Loud motorcycles. There should be laws against them.

There is a reason they are loud, it's because oftentimes car and truck drivers don't look where they are going and run into them. I've known quite a few people that drive motorcycles and it's always the same stories; people not looking where the f*ck they're going and almost running them off the road. If the motorcycle is super loud there is simply less chance of that happening.

That's a good one. I drove motorcycles for years. You need to drive defensively.

I never crashed into anything.

Everybody should drive defensively, that goes without saying. Still the problem is there is an increased risk, being on a motorcycle, compared to a regular car, both in terms of damage if you get hit, and in terms of visibility.

The added sound just adds a slight extra layer of security for people to notice you, that's all I'm saying.

All of the things in the OP frustrate me. But, I don't let them get me mad or angry. It's just not worth it to lose you cool about somebody else's bad behavior. I simply think of them as worthless failures, and I move on with my drive.

this. a lot of drivers feel like they own the road and man ragers feel you 'disrespected' them when you cut them off. you just have to realize that the other person is trying to get from A to B, like everyone else. someone wanting to get in a lane, waiting too long at the light, whatever it is...its not personal.

This isn't really an annoyance, but more of something that I've noticed more of lately. I keep seeing people using their turn signal when they're already halfway through changing lanes. Maybe we ought to call them "indicators" like in England, because then people might get a clue that there's no point in using it when your huge truck is halfway into my lane as I'm pretty sure that's indication enough that you're merging. :p

I don't mind if someone gets kind of close to me, but if I can't see your wheels, you should probably back up. If I can't see your headlights, you really need to back the fuck up. Yeah, I've had some loons get that close to me a few times. :$

You should insert brake checkers into there somewhere. While people that get ridiculously close to your car are creating a potentially dangerous situation, brake checkers are just being absolutely inane for attempting to make it worse.

I think there's a difference between the volume that you're referring to and what I hear at times. I shouldn't be hearing a motorcycle's muffler from my apartment, but I definitely do at times.

Fair enough; I guess I wasn't thinking of the "super loud" motorcycles that some people drive when I made that statement. Both you and Number1 are right in that aspect, in regards to people that mod their motorcycles to make them louder than normal where you can literally hear them blocks away.
