When you are stopped for a red light and there is a convenience store on the right with people who have no business trying to cut into traffic because we are 15 cars deep already. Invariably, the person ahead of you waves multiple cars in from the convenience store, then continues on while the light changes from yellow to red and gets through just in time leaving me at the stop light. Mucker futher. Traffic is designed for a reason. Let them go out the other exit, around the corner, and get in the traffic line just like the rest of us had to do.

People who don't pay attention at a left turn and don't watch for the signal to turn green. Many times a week I have to honk to get people to look up from whatever the hell they're doing. I especially hate it if they somehow manage to wait long enough to not go until the lights yellow. If I'm the one behind them and this happens, I follow them through the light laying on the horn.

I'm waiting to turn right at a red light. The guy going straight or waiting to turn left has a red but he creeps forward anyway, blocking my view. I have to creep forward more in order to see. He then creeps forward more as if to block me intentionally. It's really stupid and frustrating.

Creeping in general is kind of annoying, but I see it more as an indication of how dumb the creeper is. I see people start to creep as soon as the light for the crossing traffic turns yellow, as if they don't realize that it takes several seconds for it to stay yellow, then turn red, and THEN your light will turn green. I even see people start to creep forward when they see the crossing pedestrian indicator start flashing orange.

Yeah, tailgating in heavy traffic when I can't go any faster than I already am is annoying too.

Yeah, those left turn arrows don't last long! If you're at the front of the line it's your responsibility to be on your game.

Most of the stuff mentioned pisses me off too.

Then there's the assholes with HID lights. They should be illegal. Our eyes are sensitive to the color blue, especially over 900000000 lumens of it. There is zero reason for headlights to be that bright. The point of headlights is to see ahead of you and for other cars to see you, not to try controlling air traffic.

People who drive like they are in Fast & Furious, weaving in an out of lanes without signaling while going 15 MPH faster than the rest of traffic.

People who obnoxiously go out of their way to pass you with no benefit. I.E., I'm slowing down for a red light ahead/traffic/etc, so they switch lanes, step on the gas, pass me, and switch back in front of me. I proceed to be right behind them the whole ride home. You really saved some sweet time there, huh?

1. Non residents who take up the parking on my street. Not exactly road rage but still an annoyance.

2. Drivers enter into traffic and causing me to slow down while they take their time accelerating instead of waiting 3 seconds for me to pass when there is no traffic behind me.

3. Drivers enter into traffic into my lane in a multi lane road and causing me to slow down when they could have picked other lanes where there are no traffic. I still haven't figured out why people do this even though there could be a million other lanes that are free but they have to pick the one I'm in.

4. People who drive with their brights on.

5. Mexican drivers. They are always running red lights, stop signs, and causing rear end accident but are uninsured. I get so nervous whenever I see a Mexican driver behind me so I drive slower and brake earlier.

1. people with xenon bulbs swapped into their non projector halogen housings.

2. almost everyone that drives a toyota hybrid becuase they are almost 99% likely to be people who barely know how to drive. seems people who drive other hybrids are at least more sensible. like if i saw a person in a fusion hybrid or a bmw one i don't immediately assume they are terrible at using a car.
3. people who drive giant SUVs for no reason like my idiot cousin (i love him but really he makes some dumb moves), new owner of a QX56 that blocks all sight

4. people who are "nice" and thus have no idea how to merge onto a freeway

So what am I? The 1%? There may be a lot of personal bias involved but I swear when I drive my Solara, things are fine. But once I sit in my Prius, people become a-holes. I would be on a 65mph highway, driving 70-75mph in the middle lane behind another car and I would get a-holes tailgating me, swerving around me and cutting me off in front because "they want to pass the Prius" only to realize.. oh wait, it's cuz the traffic in front isn't moving any faster.

So yes Hans007. I get annoyed at people like YOU that have stereotyped Toyota hybrid drivers because they make my commute hell. (not really angry so don't take it personally :p)

1. Assholes that get into the right turn lane at an intersection and cut off all the cars in the adjacent lane when light turns green.

3. Assholes that ride the exit lane and merge at the very last second

Oh god these. Pisses me off so much. Makes me wish I was speed racer and could just climb over their car and drop some tacks to bust their tires

This drives me nuts because most of those left turn signals are like a nasty joke in their durations. Half a second of green enough time to clear out the six cars? To bad. There is literally a light in a busy part of town that even if I'm the first car I can see it turn yellow as I go under. WTF kind of sadistic nutbag programmed that? So if you're 3 cars back grandma digging for her Christmas cassette for even a second means you're fucked.

One time I was at an intersection with two left turn only lanes, one straight/right turn lane and I pulled up in the middle (innermost left turn) behind a guy hair plugs in a convertable. Normally I steer clear of sporty cars because they're ironicly driven by the biggest drag asses on the planet but I had to get on the onramp right after so I went in that lane. The double left green arrows come on and this moron drives into the middle of the intersection trying to go straight, which he can't because straight traffic is of course blocking his bone headed move. I can't go around him in the other left turn lane because no shit everyone behind me already thought of that. I honk because its like "You screwed up, you turn around later instead of fucking everyone else who didn't fuck up over" and this asshole points up at the light like that explains it. Yeah, I know what it says...it says you're a moron. I was livid and of course had to wait through a whole rotation again while this douche stomps the gas and blasts straight threw the fresh red. This is the classic driving injustice. Moron fucks up and everyone else is punished instead while nothing happens to them at all.

Driving is awful in generally though, I just try to listen to audio books and accept that I will be screwed over on a constant basis now.

I hate when cars all drive the same speed and end up making one giant road block. It's really annoying when you have other drivers who want to pass but can't b/c oblivious, unaware drivers don't realize that they are driving right next to someone.

It's also dangerous to do that. I never feel safe when I'm driving next to someone which is why I will speed up just slightly to get out of their blind spot or just being next to them.

Here's one example of it happening to me recently. There was this new toll road open which allows you to go 85mph. For most of the trip, I was able to pass anyone not going 85mph (I had cruise control at 85) and all was good....except for one car who was also going around 85, but for whatever reason, I could not get any space/distance between us. He tries to pass me, I try to pass him, etc and somehow he ends up right next to me still. At 85mph, it's damn well not safe to be driving right next to someone. I even try to purposely speed up or slow down to give him space, but he somehow ends up right back next to me. This happened over the course of probably 10-15 miles. I think he ended up exiting at some point but my goodness was he so oblivious to his surroundings.

Let him pass and pull in behind him. You're obviously going the same speed; no need to occupy two lanes to do that. Problem solved.

This, oh so much this.

It's the worst when there are a lot of cars waiting and the green left turn light is short.

Something I do a lot of times is watch the space between cars as they turn left. If I see a big gap, I think to myself "what an asshole, pay f'n attention moron", since more cars could have made the turn if they had been.

Believe me, I tried. But if I let him pass in front of me, he ends up slowing down below 85 and since I'm on 85 cruise control, I pass him. but once I pass him, he starts going fast again and tail gates me or stays right next to me. I'll then slow down to let him get some distance from me, but that's only temporary as he ends up slowing down enough to get very close to me again.

It's just annoying b/c here we are, on a stretch of empty lanes for miles, and all he can do is be near my car. There is no need for that.

People who refuse to use blinkers.

People who turn into the left turn lane a half mile before it's needed.

Yeah, that happens pretty often. Its part of the whole blocking people passing because deep down you think its some sort of insult to your pride thing that permeates all driving.

I hate people who don't use cruise control on the highway, and drive in the left lane.
They screw everything up for normal people.

I never use cruise control if I'm driving on the highway within the city. There are too many cars on the highway to allow you to actually keep an uninterrupted steady speed. Add in other things like exiting, lane changes, merges, junctions, and you won't be on cruise control for much. But if I'm in the left lane, I'm going to make sure I'm going faster than those in the other lanes.

Now if you are talking about a stretch of hwy between cities, cruise control is much more effective.

The only thing that really makes me mad is people driving unreasonable slow/making unreasonably slow decisions. People that clog the drains need to be plunged and that is why I am going to be adding a cattle catcher on my truck to start pushing all the offending priuses off the road.

People who sit in your blind spot, and won't pass. They just sit there next to you. They never complete the pass. I have to tap the brakes to disengage cruise to get them to complete the pass.

I've written about this one before. I'll be driving along mostly by myself on say, I-40. Two lanes in each direction. I can see a faster car well behind me, catching up. Obviously going faster than me. Limit is 70, my cruise is set on 75.

When they get to me, they don't pass. They either sit on my bumper, or pull into the passing lane and sit next to me. They seem to want to stay near me now, despite the fact that they were clearly going much faster than me for a long time.

Most things other drivers do don't really bother me, but I hate these guys. Generally impatient drivers are the worst.

Are you talking about those middle turning lanes that are used by both sides?
Yeah usually they are used by both sides, although one I am thinking of, on my way to work, is only used for turning in one direction.

A turn lane that serves both sides makes it even worse since people are trying to get into the lane to turn while some fucking moron is driving down the thing to try and merge into traffic.

Now that I say it, I should add that people going cross-traffic that drive down the middle turn lane piss me off too. If you wanna do that fine, but fucking STOP when you get into the middle lane.
