Cross-posted in the behemoth thread @ AVS.....
I'm also a new owner to the 805. I purchased from Vann's just about a month ago. I haven't experienced any of the issues some of the early adopters have yet.
My only issue is that I get NO OUTPUT to my sub. ZIP. ZERO. ZILCH. Pretty major issue in my opinion. Maybe I screwed something up. Wouldn't be the first time...
So far I've;
1. Done a new setup from scratch.
2. Tried a new cable, a Canare LV77S Subwoofer Cable from Blue Jeans Cable.
3. Hooked my sub up to a different receiver.[it's good]
4. Tried a level adjustment.
5. Checked and double checked the connections.
No output!
I'm about to call Vann's for an RMA due to a suspected bad Pre Out subwoofer channel.
Did I miss something obvious?!?! Suggestions?!
Frustration reigns...

Update
Exchange AVR arrived 1/31. Set it up per the manual and tested the Subwoofer: NO OUTPUT!!! ZIP. ZERO. ZILCH.
Arrrrrrrrgggghhhh... I'm beyond pissed.
Surgery time. I'm opening the sub up this weekend.
Update Part Deux
The subwoofer is dead.
I opened it up for a thorough inpsection and didn't find any obvious defects. I buttoned it back up and fed it a +/- input from my R/H front channel. NOTHING. So I hooked up my previous sub[non-powered] with the +/- signal and that sub woks fine.
Going to call Klipsch tomano and see if they will repair the amp for a reasonable fee.
Bah...!
YAO805U - Yet Another Onkyo 805 Update
Klipsch will overhaul the subwoofer amp for $60. Shipped.
