I'm not having fun.
I can't see the sub being the problem, Ron. I never had the chance to use it with the 705 but it always worked fine with the Yamaha. You've had it running with another receiver as well.

I'm assuming you have the sub cable connected to the proper (LFE) connector on the sub?
Hey Mike...
How's things, buddy?

I only had the sub running on the +/- connections before I bought the 805. My old HTIB AVR didn't have an LFE jack. I couldn't find a spare cable to test the KSW10's LFE before I did the RMA. I'm hoping there's a loose wire on the inside of the sub. *crosses fingers*
I hope that's the problem too, or that it least it's something simple. Maybe something came loose while the gorillas from UPS were handling it?

Nope.

Sucks to hear about your troubles. I did not encounter anything of this sort. Good luck.

This really continues to sound like a setup problem. What are the results of feeding the sub a pre-out from the L/R?

oh my...

Have you tried opening up the sub yet then?

I don't remember if you tried this already, but have you tried turning the subwoofer level up all the way on the receiver and lowering the gain on the subwoofer itself to compensate?

EDIT: oh, you just said that you hadn't opened it yet :p

I hope this is all worth it once you get it up and running :D

If Klipsch says no go, I guess you have a great opportunity to upgrade your sub though ;)

Hey Ron. Make sure to check the fuse in the sub to ensure it didn't blow.

If that's not the case, let me know and I'll gladly refund the money you payed for the sub.

I checked the fuse first. Visually and with my DMM, Mike.

Uh...

Should you now change the Topic Summary? I thought you initially tested the sub with another receiver. Has the sub been faulty the entire time?

Well, at least you finally got it diagnosed. $60 isn't too bad for the repair on it either. And at least you know you have a fully functional top-grade receiver now too.
