I have a 980 Ti and I've had no problems staying at 60 FPS maxed settings at 1440p

Literally every publication that I've read including TB's performance review disagrees with you unless you have some setting turned off. Maybe you're averaging 60fps with drops below that or something but when the vast majority report that they can't keep minimums above 60fps on a Titan at 1080p I'm pretty skeptical of you.

Also does anyone know if the 21:9 ini tweaks are Vert- or Hor+?

Didn't see a thread but I'm looking forward to this one. The 2013 Tomb Raider was a good game and this one offers a larger world to explore openly than previously(with more actual tombs). Supposed to also be designed for PC with 4k in mind and the proper assets to bring out the increased resolution.

I really loved the first gaming (the remake), thought it was a really solid game from start to finish.

But the timed exclusive rubbish on this game narked me well off, so basically I'll pay for this but I'm deliberately waiting for it to drop to <£10. I don't think we should support games at full price when they do timed exclusive nonsense.

Be interested to see what it takes to get this running at 4k, gonna melt my overclocked GTX980, might be time for a 2nd one to SLI.

It came out in November on Xbox one. We get it now that's only 4 months. It isn't like it had a whole year like ps4.

Exclusivity lasted ~60 days but I do like your math.

It's not a bad game so far but too many times the game takes control away from you to run you through a QTE or scripted sequence.

Skepticism is good, but you should have done your reading a bit more thoroughly man; especially in this thread.. First off, the performance previews used a pre-release version which lacked refinements and performance optimizations found in the release build. Also, some of them didn't use the release day drivers. Also the PCgameshardware.de performance review shows their Palit GTX 980 Ti SuperJetstream averaging at 61 FPS at 1440p max details..

Secondly, I said that I hadn't progressed very far either. I'm only in the beginning stages of the game, so it's quite possible that later on I will get a bigger frame rate drop in a more taxing area.

Thirdly, my GTX 980 Ti is far from stock. It's the fastest aftermarket GTX 980 Ti at stock clock, and I have it slightly overclocked on top of that to 1480/8000..

so maintaining 60 FPS @ 3440x1440 at max "very high" presets on a 980TI is not gonna happen

dropping them down to high gets you pretty close

I dunno - I'm 4-5 hours in and apart from one wonky animation I've experienced no problems. Maybe I am finally seeing the benefits of g-sync. Don't know if I'm maintaining 60FPS, but it looks like I am.

I'm running it on a 3770k, 16GB ram, GTP980TI - installed on an SSD.

Interestingly, I am also one of the few folks who did not have any game breaking issues with Arkham Knight when it came out.

Beautiful looking game. Haven't had any issues here so far.

Agreed. Some of the character models are absolutely stunning. Its weird to say but the characters in ROTTR (esp. lara) have some of the best and most realistic teeth and lips I have ever seen in a video game.

Agreed, some of the characters look fantastic.

The snow deformation sucks. It just opens deforms ahead of time, and it looks incredibly awkward... I rather not have it then have it because it ruins the "flow" of artistic graphics... everything looks great except this stupid part...

The Soviet installation is the first really graphically taxing area in the game it seems, and the first area where frame rates start to drop below 60 for me. It's still 60 most of the time though..

The shadows and reflections are top notch in this area. I was surprised to see a real time reflection on some ice on the ground.. Game looks so much better on screen though. Really lose a lot of detail in screenshots, even with .pngs..

Daisy Ridley is a talented, beautiful and wonderful woman with a contagious, charming smile. But I definitely don't see her as Lara Croft. They (Eidos) hired some models over the years since the mid or late 1990s (to now) that had a much better and fitting look (both facial appearance along with physical shape) for Lara than Daisy would have (such as Karima Adebibe, or Alison Carroll). And to be honest Angelina Jolie wasn't a bad choice at all (not referring to her in-movies performance, nor the script's quality for her, but rather talking about her physical appearance for the role).

I have this game on Xbox One, I have not even done the 2nd main mission yet. It a good game but I was hoping they added more to it than the first one. It is Tomb Raider 2.0 and not a true sequel.

The secret to increasing performance on tomb raider is turning off the wavy hair. Such a small graphical luxury completely wrecks performance

Why does everyone keep talking about performance issues with this game? I don't think I've seen it dip below 100fps. :hmm: :sneaky: :awe:
