Ripplehost web hosting?

I've only been with them for a couple weeks, but my sites have been running just fine. Momentary (~3 or 4 minute) glitch yesterday where the name servers weren't responding, but I've had those kind of glitches with more expensive hosting services, too.

I've been using them for months.........I use it primarily for webmail. I installed squirrelmail, and it works great. Can't beat it for $5 a year.

webhostingtalk is a good resource I used them when I went with the addaction deal for 6 months for 9.95. Glad to hear people are happy with Ripplehost, I get a little gun shy to pay that little.

Well, as mentioned before, the best place to check for hosting and review is ultimately http://www.webhostingtalk.com They are very comprehensive and i'm sure you'll find a few deals there.

If you post a little more along the lines of what she needs, I can suggest a few providers to check out. 🙂

Well, I'm very frustrated with RippleHost. Now I can't even log in to my CPanel.

Before I could not receive any email from my account (even going through their Web Mail services).

I'm giving up. Sent Alan an email asking to cancel my account.

I'm going to try another hosting service but haven't decided on which one.

I'm not sure what your budget is, if you can afford $9.95 for 6 months then $6.95/mo I would highly highly recommend AddAction.net.

Otherwise I would suggest SolidInternet.com for $30/yr or e-rice.net for $10/yr.

You're welcome.

RippleHost is perfect for some people but it's true when I say "you get what you pay for".

Does rippple host have SSL?
or security features for like shopping cart checkouts and what not?
i cant find it on their site.
thanks!

if not ill go with addaction. I just need a cheezy host with SSL and PHP really, just to test stuff out.

No Web host gives you your own SSL. They could let you share their security certificate, but that won't be good enough for most true ecommerce applications. You really should buy your own if you need SSL.
