If you want to play around with forums, some simple web-publishing, etc... ripplehost is great for the money. As rossman said, don't think you're going to get instructions on how to do things from ripplehost though, it's a "you're on your own" sort of host - for the most part. Also, my finding (as a reformed ripplehost member, now addaction member) is that it's not a good place to use for your e-mail... sometimes things just randomly go wierd at ripplehost. Mission critical, your livelihood... keep away from ripplehost. Fun, playing around with this stuff, nothing important = best $9.99 deal in a long time.

For my 2 personal domains they are fine, especially for the price... I haven't had any trouble but it is definitely DYI hosting.. Unless it can be answered in a forum you are on your own..

best $5.00 I ever spent on web hosting.. If it was for a business or mission critical I would go elsewhere.. Not saying that to be a bad thing, everything has it's place... and it's price....

ChefJoe: sorry I won't see you around the RH forums anymore, you were a big help infiguring stuff out..

Hello,

I have recently finished making the site phoneschat.com The site is for discussing mobile phones, network providers etc..

I would apreciate it if you would register and post on the site.

By registering on the forums you will be in with the chance to win a Nokia 7250.

Thank You

What a POS web hosting company! I asked for a refund and he will not even reply to my email, yet he seems to have the time to send me spam promoting his business efforts.

Considering Ripplehost?; Run Forest Run!!!!!!

Eh, that's the only e-mail I've gotten from them other than the registration stuff. I get more spam from other places...it's not like he abuses it, is it?

Yeah, I got that email too, and you know what I did? I DELETED IT. Oh, the horror of having to hit the "delete" key!

ChefJoe's comments are correct. This is a GREAT hosting company for someone who knows what they're doing and doesn't mind the occasional (and I mean occasional) glitch. I've had one period of about 45 minutes where my site was unavailable in the 3 months I've been with RH. If you need 1-800 number support or 24 hour response email support, go elsewhere, but for $5 or $10 a year, what the heck were you expecting?
