Look in the networking forum, that will tell you what I do for a living for the past 20 years.

Why don't you just go ahead and link everybody to whatever post you're talking about. I'm not particularly invested in actually know what you do for a living. Therefore, I won't bother to go on some EasterEgg hunt to find information on you. All I know right now, is that you've been a professional asshole on this forum for the past month or so I've been here.

The mods keep him around like some kind of whipping boy, we have another republican like him also. (Dmcowen)

Why they keep it up I dont know. Personally I wold just take the trash out so the smell of shit and clouds of flies does not keep pushing better quality posters away. But I am no mod.

once again, the point is that the left makes race an issue, not the right. their whole defense in pretty much any debate is. . .. .well you're a racist so you're wrong. they never defend the point in question.

i'm aware of that statitics of race/ethnicity of welfare and that whites outnumber blacks . . .

Yet blacks as a percentage of their population have a higher % on welfare. Does stating that fact make me a racist? NO. There are many valid reasons why a higher percentage of the black population versus the percentage of the white population are on some sort of taxpayer/gov't assistance. Blame the entitlements with no enforced end... Blame the education system that has failed minorities in the inner city, blame the high single parent aspect and focus on pop culture...

At some point, as more americans end up on some form of entitlement/assistance programs, we will reach a tipping point where the tax payers who are paying more of their fair share become louder than the voting block receiving benefits. At that point a new round of welfare reform will take place.... We are years away.

Anytime I see people suggesting others be driven out because they possess a strong opinion counter to others... And anytime I see that acted upon is basically the demise of the forum.

I've seen it happen to other forums that were once great for political debate... They silenced the conservatives, had no interest in debate... and now they can't see that their age old internet forum became a left leaning circle jerk. I don't ever want to belong to a forum where the lean is near 100% my way or the other way. Just not an enriching experience at all.

Its interesting that people like Spidey can be such assholes on the forum and act like they are better than others...yet, nobody knows what they do for a living.

I was thinking the same thing. People that are crying out about "their" tax money being used on "poor" people should post some of their tax returns so we can actually see how much they pay in federal income taxes.

A better idea is to end the income tax and then end welfare

This is a nice subsidy for cell phone makers and service providers. I'm pretty sure they would love nothing more than to expand this policy to secure their own profit margins at the expense of taxpayers in order for those who like spending other people's money on "good intentions" can do so to their beneift.

Eventually the law of unintended consequences will come home to roost in a unexpected economic manner. In other words prices for cellphones and the development of low cost cell phones/cell phone plans will in time be negatively affected by this action if it is expanded by government. Especially if more producers and providers of cell phones and cell phones service plans join in and then they see less compelling reasons to compete on prices at the expense of the consumer/tax payer.

Perhaps I'm misunderstood, I never want to silence or remove someone because they have opinions that run counter to my own, I make an effort to read or listen to diverse viewpoints. Sometimes I even learn something that will challenge my preconceived notions, I try my best to be a disciple of the scientific method. :)
What I referred to are the one note trolls that say the exact same thing in tread after thread and never answer a question honestly. That and some other people who have posted absolutely sociopathic crap that just makes me shudder at some of the other members of our species.

Wow Spidey, you're still stupid in spite of there being information on the Telecommunications Act of 1996 AND Bush's addition of Cellphones to the act during his Presidency.

Wow, from the story, within a couple years it is from 6,000 free phones in 2008 to 231,000 in 2011 and the cost is from $1 million to $24 million. <shock>

Wrong is wrong. So I am paying fees and taxes on my cell phone with my hard earn money so these leeches can get multiple free phones and free minutes?

Holy crap, Batman!

Did the program get opened up? Or is this merely a measure of the economy sucking the big one?
