Yoda has a very low smoke leaf tolerance.
He’s constantly passing out from it

Moved the colony to a new spot which was a major hassle but I finally have mostly brick building and the all have plenty of power.
Plus it’s been raining steel & silver asteroids.
Hard feeding animals in the hills, I just culled a bunch of muffalo’s.

Randy Random RNG has been very kind

I'll likely grab the DLC when the next sale hits and start a new colony with all the new stuff. I'll probably load it with mods as well.

Aw crap it could be all over.
I’ve build a nice stone base, have plenty of power and still have a decent amount of steel, I’ve had several asteroid impacts of silver, gold, uranium and a steel one I’ve mostly mined.
Was thinking it has been awhile since the black crabs attacked......then they attacked.
Heavily armed small force which was defeated easily. They were the distraction.
Video is up loading, game is paused.
Look to the bottom right toward the end. I missed that until after I stopped the video

Here is a better image. Got stuff to do, won't be back until late tonight. We will make it thru this.
Run Yoda, run!

I'm with Zin. The only reason to play a mountainous map is to utilize the natural chokepoints. This makes defending your base from anything except drop-pods or infestations a breeze.

There's also a few really easy defenses you can use to help ward off the AI attacks and give you some breather room. One requires walls and steel traps (or slate, but steel does way more damage) and the other requires a roof and some sort of explosive trap like an IED. Artificial roofs will cause a lot of damage in a wide area but doesn't normally kill whereas natural roofs will be an instant kill, but the area is smaller and if anyone is crushed, the body and everything they are using is destroyed. Personally, I prefer the steel trap option but it does eat into your steel reserves since it takes a bit of steel to reset each trap. There's also the fact that if any invaders get away alive, they will remember your traps and avoid that area next time.

Update
More time has gone by, nobody has died but a few ransoms who joined. Finally can make advanced parts and finally made @JEDIYoda a bionic spine to speed him up but haven’t “installed” it yet.
Base is solid however Randy has not been kind.
Currently a defoliator ship in a tough place to attack because it’s far away in a weird spot, huge pack of alpha beavers ate all my trees but this isn’t a huge problem atm.
aaaaaaannnnnnnddddddd.....
Toxic fallout that has been going on for a long time. Slaughtered most of my animals, have a huge reserve of veggies and meat but I am running thru it and people are getting bitchy about not going outside.
I may abandon and rebuild somewhere else.
@zinfamous is in Cyro sleep to prevent fights because he has nothing to do but cause problems.

Where are your greenhouses?

Didn’t have any because they weren’t needed. Now I have a few.
The constant fallout sucks, I’ve been mining and smoothing rock a ton.
I may enable the allow 2nd settlement button and find a new place. I am not sure if the fallout is this hex only or over the region.
I can build those pod things maybe I’ll do that. Sort of sucks because I have so many valuable metals on this map.
Gustavo is going to become @Stg-Flame 2.0
He makes the kibble, insectoid kibble and human kibble. His workshop is restricted to all the others.

Unless they changed it in a recent update, nuclear fallout should only exist on your tile. I've had games where I just started out then had fallout happen, so I just packed up the camp and moved.

I hope you like being a jerk and butchering humans...
You and @zinfamous hang out in back with your legendary sniper rifles bickering the entire time.

The Bannotuay snuck in and set up a mortar base, colonists had no idea base was being built until mortars started to rain down from the green chemical infested clouds.....
The attempted to return mortar fire but they were sloppy and didn't have many shells on hand. They banded together and ventured out of their covered safety. The Bannotuay we just beginning to set up defensive turrets but none were operational. A large gun battle ensued. This group of Bannotuay recruits were not well prepared but they had numbers. They injured all but Katsumi and Jedi Yoda because he was too sick from cyro sickness to fight. Katsumi was busy tending to their wounds.
More importantly this battle hinged upon @Stg-Flame & @zinfamous the long range of their legendary ruin engraved sniper rifles were able to keep the Bannotuay at long range after the first group collapsed due to bannotuay small arms fire. Both Zinfamous and STG suffered small arms wounds but were healthy enough to help carry the other wounded @BurnItDwn and Jediyoda who collapsed to the hospital.

Afte this epic battle @Stg-Flame tried to patch things up with @zinfamous by talking about playing cards.

1604322382479.png

Zinfamous responded well to STG's cards idea and spoke about Government Conspiracies with STG who thought while it is nice to have Zinfamous get along with me, I do not want to hear these mad ramblings all day.......

Everyone's wounds were ultimately tended.

Good news! After what seemed like Months of toxic fallout appears to be dispersing. Yay! Good Food Again!
Now I’m hoping to replenish my animal stocks again but maybe not to the pre fallout ridiculous level.

Did I die at some point? Lol.

Yeah, you died in a raid sadly I didn’t have any Cyro beds to save you in. You took a headshot.
I did build a grave at the old base which I put coolers around. I kept you at a nice -50C, unfortunately when the big raid happened sappers burned your building down.
You did craft the legendary weapons both @zinfamous & @Stg-Flame use.
