Does this story about Mr Obama having mustard on his hamburger resonante with anyone?

Not really. I don't watch Hannity but I'm guessing he does even stupider things then this on a daily basis so what's the big deal?

I think the left is pushing this story to help keep the Peolsi torture story out of the public's eye.

If that is the "left's" objective they are not being very successful.

I just checked the Washington Post, New York Time, and CNN websites. None of these news papers mentioned Mustard gate and all have a Pelosi story headline. I did not do a search for Mustard gate.

I am totally confused. Why is spicy mustard unamerican but secession threat aren't?

As for Mustardgate, imagine the wingnutty brouhaha if Obama had ordered a turkey burger, or, God forbid, felafel. I'm kinda hoping that this story has legs for a few more days. Hell we could have mustard-themed tea party protests. Now that's American.

Thank God we have patriots such as Sean Hannity conducting critical and thorough investigative journalism to get at the issues that true Americans (his listeners) care about.

It seems, that it doesn't cut the mustard to try out this "grey poupon" communist, socialist, fascist, nazi, frenchie, muslim brand. Which is manufactured by Kraft.

I am curious as to how many people in this thread actually watched the Hannity TV show bit on the burger and mustard?

Seemed like Hannity was being tongue and cheek. Perhaps it was at the end of his show and he does something similar everyday??

I've never actually watched his show since he went solo, but it certainly seemed like he was being light hearted about it.

Remember when I said no one takes the guy seriously who complains about EVERYTHING a politician does? Big or small? Case in point. Not that anyone took that massive shithead Sean Hannity seriously anyhow...

The only people I take seriously are ones who use the phrase "massive shithead".

Sending his kids away to private schools while he makes it more difficult for regular people to do so is elitist.. Taxing the rich because they are successful is elitist. Apologizing to the world is elitist. Wanting to implement a carbon tax is elitist.

Putting mustard on your hamburger without ketchup just makes you a f--king moron.

If I were POTUS, I would probably send my kids to a private scholl for security reasons.

The Obamas are millionaires, so he is increasing his own tax rate. Is that an example of being an elitist?

I am not sure how apologizing for eight years of GWB foreign policy or posing a solution for global warming are examples of elitism. Could you please explain those to me?

I know, right!
Like opting for coffee without cream
or eating a potato with no salt
or... or... having a salad with no dressing --- THE HORROR! !

Judging someone's intelligenence by what condiment they do or don't choose is moronic.

But then, this has nothing to do with mustard or ketchup. This was just some stupid chance for you to take a potshot at the president.
He could have put the ketchup with the mustard and people like you would still find something to whine and complain about

Ketchup? While you're ruining a burger, why not go ahead and add some horse semen and rabbit turds while you're at it.

There isn't much point in pointing at idiotic posts and saying they're idiotic, but sometimes it's hard to resist. Like the one above.

One of the common fallacies I see on the right is when they hide an illogical claim behind an attack on the motive of the 'other side'. So in this case, the actual merits of raising taxes on the rich isn't discussed, the actual reasons the proponents have for doing so aren't discussed - instead, the straw man is used that the motive is to punish them for being successful. The illogic of that statement is obvious - it's idiotic - but it serves the purpose of getting people who don't use logic to oppose the tax increase.

It even gets to the point of irony, where the people who are actually defending the real 'elites', the CEO's, the tycoons, the Wall Street moguls, by screwing the public, realizing they are vulnerable to a populist attack on their elitist policies, simply turn the tables and attack the people defending the public as the 'elites'. And on some, it works.

Let's apply a little logic and ask, what's more elitist - assuming elitist is 'bad' here - between raising the taxes on the most wealthy - of giving them *lower* taxes?

Only this sort of idiotic logic-free propaganda such as spewed by DearNoEvil can claim that taking more from the elites and less from others is the 'elitist' policy.

Similarly - what's more elitist: for the most powerful nation in the world who does some wrongs to others to arrogantly refuse to acknowledge any of them - or to apologize?

Again, only the idiotic logic-free argument says it's more elitist for the elites to apologize.

Protecting the environment with a carbon tax is elitist? OK, we're well past the point that calling an idiotic post idiotic is pointless.

One of the common fallacies I see on the left is name calling and insults mixed in with an attempt to refute an argument. See above post for more examples of elitism.

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have pointed out how silly your 'elitist' and 'ketchup without mustard = moronic' comments were. Indeed, it was just too obvious.
