So, Rift is out next week and basically, I only want to get involved with a new MMO in its first 2 or 3 months so as not to be behind everyone else. But that's part of the reason for my post. Does anyone have any advice on whether I should get it? My previous background is Everquest.
Questions like, how long does exp grinding take, is it not too long not too quick. And this question is doubly important because, if I knew that getting into it 3 or 4 months later would be OK because I wouldn't be stuck behind everyone else with no one to group with at low levels(and thus if grouping is necessary to exp quickly), I wouldn't worry too much about not getting it from day one.
Edit- almost forgot, I would only be interested in the PvP enabled servers, if there is such a thing, so that adds even more importance to the "can I catch up if I start 4 months later" question.
So, any comments on that? If I don't get Rift the next window of opportunity to get in on day one of a good game would be The Old Republic, probably.
