Ridiculous smoke detector challenge

Rules:

1. Must be a single photo (no photo stitching / combining)

2. Use of extra wide angle lenses isn't fair - if you have a DSLR, use something that would be a close equivalent to the type of shot you'd get from a P&S digital camera.

3. Smoke detectors just be in their standard positions you have at your place of residence (don't take all the smoke detectors from your house and tape them to same wall... if you did take the time to so this, I'd be worried about you)

4. If smoke detectors are not easily visible in the photo, circle them. Enough of the smoke detector must be visible so that it's reasonably clear that it's actually a smoke detector.

5. This is smoke detectors only, no carbon monoxide / carbon dioxide / waffle detectors.

6. If you think of a rule that will make this more fair / fun / interesting, you must PM me.

Why am I doing this?
Yesterday my property management company installed new lithium battery operated smoke detectors and they are plentiful. At first I just saw the two that were right next to each other and I thought it was kind of excessive... but then I saw the one in the next room and decided to see if I could actually see them all at the same time.

I am rather glad that this building is covered in smoke detectors now though, considering the electrical problems I've had at this place.

Thank you for anyone who participates, I don't know what the enthusiasm is for smoke detector based competition... I didn't even do a search :Q
I hope this isn't a repost 😛

Oh, and here's my submission

I'll have to check when I'm home. I have 3 bedrooms in the upstairs of my house and each of them has a detector, plus the hallway connecting the 3 rooms... I wonder how many I can see at once.

I'll be surprised if anyone can get more than 3 in one picture.

The last apartment I had I could do three. The place was bought by the University and so they installed fire extinguishers (nice) and the requisite amount of smoke detectors. I had like a carbon monoxide detector and two or three smoke detectors (one per room I guess was the code) all within three feet of each other.

That was my house when I bought it. The insurance guy said that there was a record of a recent fire, but no payment was made. Probably the old folks who owned the house had a kitchen fire scare. I threw away an old one and moved the other into the laundry room, so no pic from me now.

This makes me realize, we have two in the whole house. One upstairs, one downstairs, still in the packaging, sitting on a shelf. Safety, is our number one concern!

I checked and if I stand in one place I can only see 2 of them at once but there are definitely 4 smoke detectors within 100 sqft of floorspace.

I spy an RSS300...

🙂

Yep, and the sticker on that one is just to match the other one... whose sticker is covering up damage from falling off the wall 😱

Does it have to be at home? I stood up, looked around and can probably get at least 6 into 1 picture.

Well, the rules state "Place of residence"

But I'm here 80 hours a week, isn't that close enough?

I might be able to get 4 from the family room...

1 above position
1 hallway leading to bedrooms
1 kitchen
1 livingroom past kitchen.

Will post back when I get home from work tonight.
