Rules:
1. Must be a single photo (no photo stitching / combining)
2. Use of extra wide angle lenses isn't fair - if you have a DSLR, use something that would be a close equivalent to the type of shot you'd get from a P&S digital camera.
3. Smoke detectors just be in their standard positions you have at your place of residence (don't take all the smoke detectors from your house and tape them to same wall... if you did take the time to so this, I'd be worried about you)
4. If smoke detectors are not easily visible in the photo, circle them. Enough of the smoke detector must be visible so that it's reasonably clear that it's actually a smoke detector.
5. This is smoke detectors only, no carbon monoxide / carbon dioxide / waffle detectors.
6. If you think of a rule that will make this more fair / fun / interesting, you must PM me.
Why am I doing this?
Yesterday my property management company installed new lithium battery operated smoke detectors and they are plentiful. At first I just saw the two that were right next to each other and I thought it was kind of excessive... but then I saw the one in the next room and decided to see if I could actually see them all at the same time.
I am rather glad that this building is covered in smoke detectors now though, considering the electrical problems I've had at this place.
Thank you for anyone who participates, I don't know what the enthusiasm is for smoke detector based competition... I didn't even do a search :Q
I hope this isn't a repost 😛
Oh, and here's my submission
