actually the car was the advanced terminator from T2, hit the tree, morphed the damage out of the car, split himself in two, butcher the wife, and posed as Elvis in the back seat. Did I cover all the bases?

But why was he wearing the striped suit? WHY THE STRIPED SUIT?!

see that's the tough part. it was actually the play of the moonlight emanating off the metallic sheen of the terminator.

Alrite folks $2.00 paypal to the person that gets this interesting riddle.

Late one evening, a man and a his wife were driving their car at speed down a country road. The car spun of the road and hit a tree.

The man decided to seek help at a garage a few miles away.

He made sure nobody was in the car, rolled all the windows up, and locked all of the doors.

When he returned, his wife was dead, and there someone in the car he had never seen before.

No physical damage was done to the car, it was still locked?

How did the woman die?

Where did the stranger come from?

Let me get this straight... the car spun off the road at "speed" and hit a tree, yet there was no physical damage to the car?

Like I said, OP didn't write it out very well.

He's probably just remembering this riddle from memory alone and tried to make it sound story like but in doing so, has caused lots of problem grammatically/logically.

What the riddle breaks down to is:

1. Man/Wife's car breaks down on road.

2. Man decides to go get help

3. Man locks doors, rolls up windows, makes sure everything safe while his wife waits inside

4. Man returns finds wife dead with no signs of forced entry and also a stranger in the car

5. How did the wife die?

6. Who is the stranger?

The stranger in the car is named "Nobody". His wife died in the accident.

I second that FTW, seems like the most logical answer so far.

Yeah, but it doesn't go with this:

YEAH! That was in our english book! He stabs him in the eye and when they ask the cyclops who's bothering him he goes "NOBDY!" I'm pretty sure his name was Nobdy though, not Nobody.

Either she gave birth and died during birth or there was someone in the trunk that came through the back seats.
