Rick Santorum: Dead Foreign Scientists Are A 'Wonderful Thing'

No, you misunderstand.

Some here are saying that it is unacceptable that a scientist was targeted.
That is irrelevant.
Anyone assisting Iran in developing a nuclear weapon is fair game.

The Iranian government is run by mad men. Elect adults to run your country and you will be treated like adults on the world stage. Until then America and the rest of the west will have to continue to put you in your place until you go up.

Ok, thanks for that.

I suppose it is far better to 'take out' individuals under covert operations by who ever did this than to blow up potential nuclear sites and thus overtly inviting war.

I'm not sure anyone at this point can invade Iran - under UN Charter provision of self defense - and destroy their nuclear development apparatus and be sustained not to mention the turmoil that would (probably) ensue in the region.

Agreed. I won't shed a tear over his death. He had to have known he was violating a UN resolution.

A comparison: in WWII, targeting munitions plants was considered fair game. Despite being staffed by civilians. This is no different.

Assassinating a civilian - immoral
Participating in a nuclear program whose purpose is to grant Muslim mullahs the capabilities to kill millions - moral

Wow, the fecal froth guy is one bad muddafudda. Don't mess with Sgt. SweaterVest.

Wish he'd just move to the Middle East so him and the Iranians can just blow each other off the map.

Found his VP:

I find myself in the rare position of somewhat agreeing with Santorum, and Patranus. I don't think anyone should be jumping for joy over this sort of thing, but this is a much better option than a military attack. I support covert action + economic sanctions. Santorum's choice of words was poor.

So every scientist, engineer, manufacturer, etc. in the U.S. who might be connected in some way to defense is fair game for other countries too? And the taxpayers too, since they are funding everything.

Iran might be to weak to try something like that, but other countries (Russia) are not going to take any shit from us, so to speak.

Absolutely they are. That's why they're provided the training that they are.

"We are concerned when someone is producing a nuclear bomb that can be dropped on the state of Israel or provides a nuclear shield for a country which spreads terrorism with impunity and changes the face of the world,”

I agree with him.

Santorum is 95% loathsome, but on this issue he's correct. Anything that sets back Iran's nuclear program is a good thing.

What's wrong with taking out the scientists working to provide our enemy the capability to inflict serious harm on ourselves and our allies?

See video in link.

Not so concerned about dropping a bomb on the USA? This man is not fit for presidency.

For once i agree with him.

Better a dead scientist than the end result if they should get close which would involve half of the world and a LOT of dead people.

One thing people need to realize, we're not going to let them get the bomb, PERIOD. Not Israel, not UK, not EU, not US and the rest will stay out of our way, we won't even ask them.

Equally disgusted at those who are actually thinking straight and i agree with here...

But you know, that once in a million... we won't experience that anytime soon again. 😉

There's nothing wrong with it. Only idiots who think that killing is always wrong are bothered by it.

"Anyone who clings to the historically untrue — and thoroughly immoral — doctrine that "violence never solves anything" I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and of the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee, and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk, and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms."
