I suppose it is far better to 'take out' individuals under covert operations by who ever did this than to blow up potential nuclear sites and thus overtly inviting war.

I'm not sure anyone at this point can invade Iran - under UN Charter provision of self defense - and destroy their nuclear development apparatus and be sustained not to mention the turmoil that would (probably) ensue in the region.

A comparison: in WWII, targeting munitions plants was considered fair game. Despite being staffed by civilians. This is no different.

I don't think anyone should be jumping for joy over this sort of thing, but this is a much better option than a military attack. I support covert action + economic sanctions. Santorum's choice of words was poor.

So every scientist, engineer, manufacturer, etc. in the U.S. who might be connected in some way to defense is fair game for other countries too? And the taxpayers too, since they are funding everything.

Iran might be to weak to try something like that, but other countries (Russia) are not going to take any shit from us, so to speak.

Not so concerned about dropping a bomb on the USA? This man is not fit for presidency.

For once i agree with him.

Better a dead scientist than the end result if they should get close which would involve half of the world and a LOT of dead people.

One thing people need to realize, we're not going to let them get the bomb, PERIOD. Not Israel, not UK, not EU, not US and the rest will stay out of our way, we won't even ask them.
