The sky is falling again....and again......and again.....and it's raining wolves in sheep's clothing......and ISIS terrorists have, errrr, may have....or could have....or at least it's been said that they're infiltrating from south of the border, but why is it that it never ever happens from the north? And why is it that only the Repubs up on the hill and FOX news keep doing this over and over a'gin? Why, because it works, of course. But why is it that it only works on conservatives? Why, because it's what they want to believe, apparently. So thus it goes, round and round and round, like a maelstrom in a toilet bowl. Thank goodness there are enough level headed conservatives to keep the afflicted ones from taking over the party....oooops, too late. And - hey, wait a minute....what's that hanging in the air?

Hmmmm...*sniff* *sniff*.....smells like.....Karl Rove farted and started a Repub fart fest of fear and frett'in and.....what's that I hear? Why, it sounds like the rythmic lilting of war drums coming out of the RNC....and oh shit.....I can once more hear the sounds of some native neocons getting restless.

Here we go again.

Obviously the majority of citizens of Texas do, they keep electing him...

Yeah.... That's scary...Guy couldn't even remember his talking points during a debate during his Presidential run. You'd think that would be something he'd drill into his mind over and over.

And incredibly, or incredulously, take your pick, this same bunch thinks Pres. Obama, yes, let me reiterate; their PRESIDENT Obama (I repeated it in that way because I know it gives them a puke inducing migrane every time they force themselves to think of that little factoid):D has ruined the rest of the nation due to the fact that now every other state can't be an exact duplicate in political stripe, lifestyle and demographic superiority (as temporary as that may be) of themselves.

BUT, fear not. The latino segment of the population is, from doing a very cursory search, 37% of the population and growing fast. And what with Rick Perry clanging the "Seal the Border" Bell with every breath he takes (whilst quietly yet frantically pandering for their votes) he gives the latinos every reason to vote Dem. Seems to me it won't be too long before gerrymandering, voter suppression and disenfranchisement won't work the way it was meant to, and once the Dems take back power on the strength of the latino wave of immigrants cresting over the border and becoming citizens with a passion to vote with a vengeance, payback will be a bitch served in the same way it's been/being given, and then some.

Awwww crap, now I'm selling the same fear and hate they've been hawking since President Obama took the steering wheel and pacifier away from them. Shame on me. Or was it ".....Shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." Yeh, that's what I meant. lol

Well technically he's absolutely right.

They could be doing so and there's a real possibility that they've already done so, but the odds are low and the possibility minute.

I could be screwing Scarlett Johansson tomorrow night because I hear she will be in town filming; and so of course that closer proximity really does raise the possibility that it will occur.

ISIS isn't exporting radicals, they're pulling them in from all over the world in an effort to take over Syria & Iraq. Should they accomplish that, they'll once again have a base of operations from which to function.

Anybody ever ask themselves who's financing ISIS? Where does the money come from?

Besides the fact that they control some *very* rich oil fields and some refining capacity in northern Syria and Iraq, they also looted an estimated 1/2 billion dollars in Mosul alone. Who knows who much they found in the other smaller cities and towns they've taken over.

Initially I would expect that the usual suspects like Qatar and the Saudis also supplied funds. The Saudis seem to have figured out they backed a more dangerous horse than they initially thought and have made a lot efforts to start cutting any ties they had. They even told Arabic clerics (including the Grand Mufti) to disown IS.

So, at this point I suspect it's black market oil and looting that supply most of their funds.

They had to have money, lots of it, to be able to mount the taking of Mosul. That's obvious. Your speculation concerning their current financing is distractional from that & likely inaccurate. They need to get crude oil to a seaport via pipeline to make money off it, & I doubt than any of 'em know how to run a refinery.

I'm not speculating all that much other than on the roles of Qatar or the K.S.A..This is nothing new. It's been reported on pretty much since ISIS became a serious 'player'. This isn't simply a bunch of sheep herders in the mountains of Afghanistan.

They've been trucking the oil into Turkey from their fields in Syria for a long time. The black market oil market has proven to be very lucrative. They also have some refining capabilities (first in norther Syria and now in Iraq) which they also use.

Add that onto what they've been picking up through looting, as I mentioned, $1/2 billion from Mosul alone.

here's a recent article on the oil aspect from a couple of days ago:

Why try crossing the border illegally when home grown Americans are ready, willing, and able?

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/are-americans-douglas-mcauthur-mccain-threat-america-n189726

The startling news that an American, Douglas McAuthur McCain, died fighting with extremist Islamist rebels in Syria again raises concerns that the Obama administration has sounded for months — that Americans could come back home hardened by conflict in Iraq and Syria and trained to launch terrorist attacks on their own homeland.

U.S. officials said in response to NBC News' exclusive report about McCain that "dozens" of Americans could be fighting at any one time with various extremist groups in the region — including the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, or ISIS. With fear growing over the turmoil in the Middle East,

U.S. intelligence and foreign policy agencies are racing to understand these radicalized Westerners and the potential threats they may pose abroad and at home.

Oh God, does it take some kind of "special" qualification to be the governor of Texas? First Bush, then this Perry guy...

I was unable to have sexual relations with Ms Johansson. :(

You should demand a congressional investigation to find out why not, identify & punish the conspirators who prevented that. So should Ms Johannson, because she obviously wants the same thing.

There isn't a whole lot of reading comprehension around here. One very short sentence and a cat picture appears to be the upper limit.

good call. Seems just as important as Congress subpoenaing Roger Clemmons and Mark McGuire.

We will not rest until this justice is served!

Bummer :(

Maybe Jennifer Lawrence? She lives in the same country as you do. It is definitely *possible *

:hmm: You know, my weekend is looking up!

When you have obama's CIA director saying over a year ago that the rebels in Syria were not planing on establishing a caliphate.... You can understand how ISIS could become a regional power right under the nose of U.S. Intelligence agencies.

But hey... Maybe in a few months the U.S. Will have a strategy to deal with these junior varsity terrorists.

I love how it's Obama's CIA when slathering out blame. It's not like he's staged some big shakeup like the time Cheney tried to leash 'em to a chair outside the oval office.

It's apparently very difficult for western intelligence agencies to create humint resources in the region, even for our regional friends, for that matter. You'd think that maybe the Turks, Israelis or Jordanians might have figured it out before we did, huh?

Ok, so what should Obama have done?
