To be fair, there are 10 other candidates (at least) with no chance in hell who still haven't grasped it. Bobby Jindal has about as much of a chance of getting nominated as Donald Duck.

People don't always run for president looking to win. Huckabee, for example, is just doing it for attention so he can keep making money off the speaking circuit, etc. I doubt Sanders actually wants to be president either.

I'm torn on Huckabee. On one hand, it does seem that he is just rabble-rousing the religious right to keep his TV/radio/whatever career going. On the other, he actually seems to be crazy enough to believe he could actually win.

Religious zealots are always crazy enough to believe there might be some sort of divine intervention if you get enough people to pray for it. That's what makes the True Believers dangerous.

Agree on the Huckster but not sure I agree on Sanders -- though Sanders has little chance to win given the money needed and you can't piss of the money types if you want to win.

Huckabee isn't alone in playing this for personal gain but he is about the most blatant of them. Now going back a while I'd have figured Trump to be doing this to up his brand but now that he's leading the narcissist in him is probably going to push him on as far as he can.

Saw an interview with Naomi Wolf today and her interviewer, Michael Smerconish, figured that as a feminist she would be a big Hillary supporter, but she's NOT a Hillary supporter. Apparently, she's not a fan of pols that are in bed with bankers and wall street, is a war monger and huge supporter of the criminal industrial complex. Who knew...

This interview?

Naomi Klein is her own brand of conspiracy theorist, no doubt, but she didn't say any of that.

Nice try anyway.

No, it was on Michael Smerconish on CNN earlier today and the guest was not Naomi Klein but Naomi Wolf as I indicated.

Nice try anyway!

I misspoke in saying Naomi Klein. The linked interview was with Naomi Wolf in any case, as is his one, apparently the one you reference-

She was pretty hard on Clinton for being more like Repubs than many Dems would like.

I actually share her sentiments to a degree but I'll take Hillary over any of the Repubs despite the concern trolling from righties. She's much more likely to put together a constructive team of advisors & administrators than the opposition. In many respects, the entourage creates the Star & it's hard to find a more repugnant one than what Repubs offer.

Repubs would much rather run against a candidate they can paint as too liberal & thus woo moderates. That's tough with Hillary.

Didn't Trump just simply troll him from the start? He fucking assigned him to the department of energy - that one department that ol' Perry just couldn't remember that he wanted to abolish during that debate.

Oh well, maybe we can get someone qualified to lead that unimportant department

I’m still not clear what his actual involvement in UkraineGate is. But I won’t miss him being out of DOE.

Perry seemed to have been trying to work deals for Ukraine to get energy independence from Russia. I'm guessing he's wanting to get out of the shitshow before Turmp starts making claims about him or tries to get him to commit crimes for him. The curious thing would be if that's already occurred and Perry didn't report it to anyone.

Maybe none at all. I figure he's just trying to escape the blast radius.

Trump: The sky is perfect blue. Ukraine to investigate corrupt Biden's is perfect. Perfect perfect perfect. I am innocent because Mueller exonerated me and my guy Barr confirmed it. I have absolute right absolutely.

Pelosi: Incomiiiiiinnnng! Hang on to yer lugnuts Donald, the first volley is on its way. Pence, Perry, seek shelter. Impact area is wide. Bunker busters and doodlebugs sent with thoughts and prayers. Eat dirt, kissy kissy, signed, soon to be POTUS Nancy.

Pretty sad when the few GOOD PEOPLE leave Trump, but WTF when the BAD PEOPLE start leaving too?
So the wicked witch apparently can not get along with ANYBODY?
Ivanka, Melania, better start packing. You're next.
