Specially if they want to keep waving the moral high-ground flag on every single subject that comes up in the world, be it , abortion ,gay marriage, condom use, etc...

The problem is using his position of religious authority to explicitly condemn a healthy practice. The Church can maintain that sex before marriage is a sin, but the realistic expectation is that people will do it anyway. The least they could do, if not encourage condom use, is at least not discourage it.

You have to be honest now... do you really expect anyone (even the pope) to believe that people in africa (in the entire world actually) are going to keep it in their pants, just because their religion says so? , i mean come on... not even their own priests keet it in their pants. it's human nature.

Theres a line between dogma and reality and when peoples lives hang in the balance of that line as to whether theyll die of aids or not then the human and MORAL thing to do is to advocate for the use of condoms.

The more ignorant and uneducated are the most susceptible to religious brain washing, thats why the most religious parts of the world are often the most underdeveloped.

There's a difference between Atheist and Anti-Theist. Atheism is considered the belief there are no gods, and Anti-Theism is a willful opposition of Theism. While often one in the same, that's not always the case. Consider yourself edumacated..

Some of the stuff I have read, if true, would seem to me to make the Catholic Church a serial pedophile organization. For instance, in Germany, the Church allegedly knew of repeated charges against a Priest, but did not report him to the authorities. It could even be claimed they aided the priest by transferring him out of the country to keep him safe from being charged.

are you sure those were Swiss Guard? I posted a pic of the Swiss guard, which, iirc, are more traditional and essentially useless these days. I don't think the Swiss provide a legit modernized security force for the Vatican (like what you are describing), but I could be wrong.
