Oh yeah, watching football is just so cool.

Anyway, I guess we agree on pretty much everything, prodigy69 except on the spolier issue.

i dont get why ricyness bothers some ppl so much...they're not doing it to your car and unless they're the person who is ricy and drives stupidly, its not affecting you either...

as for the mods that "add no performance" maybe they just like the way it looks...why do ppl buy nice clothes, brand name, they dont keep u any warmer or make u run faster than normal cheap clothes...why do ppl put stuffed animals or school stickers in their car? they dont add any hp, but its their preference so who cares...

Tons of FWD cars are riced, and many people think they look nice!

Edit: Seems like only posers have spoilers. True sports cars don't even seem to need 'em!

Whether the thing is installed by your neighbor's kid, or installed at the factory, it's still a "ricer" thing to do.

I saw a brand spankin new vette with a ft tall aluminum rice wing bolted on. made me cry.

My definition of rice is any purely look mods, such as ugly body kits or giant wings that the owner claims makes it faster such as a large fart can for an exhaust that puts out at least 20 hp extra or that necessary wing for high speed. Lots of the stuff looks ok. Got nothin against it. And if you think that a spoiler is NOT necessary on a porshe GT2 you really need to research your subject a bit better. True some designs such as a corvette do not require the spoiler but the design of a porsche that reaches very high speeds requires a spoiler to be stable.

I do believe that the second picture of the skyline could be rice but most likely not. If that car has no guts and only a bad paint job and a body kit + giant wing then it would be rice, otherwise not.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, of course. However, it just so happens to be that most ricers are also assholes, and drive accordingly. That's just been my experience. Oh well, at least I won't have to worry about wasting thousands of dollars on ugly mods when I get a car. hehe

"Kind of like how Mustangs have fake hood and side scoops huh?"
  • BINGO!
Now that we're back on topic, which is Rice, explain why it makes any difference whether it's done by the manufacturer or some bass thumpin' punk.

Bottom line is, it's a matter of degree. I'm just as put off by the factory winged go-kart as the plywood winged skateboard!

You can laugh at the "ricers" all you want, but most of you guys are only one step ahead in my book!

Thankfully the car I own has a great looking factory spoiler (I think so anyways); it also compliments the vehicle's styling very well. You won't see me replacing it anytime soon.

Nice car Mungla, I only don't like the mirror tint. I think the combination of a black car and black tint makes it look mean. :)

I also like the black on black tint. What made you decide to tint the rear window black and the sids a mirror tint?

Ford Explorer SUV Curb Weight, lbs. 4088

good job, choose a SUV with no interior cargo space to compare to a minivan, then neglect to mention you picked the sporttrac version. the real explorer checks in at 4434 pounds. so try again. let's not forget the odessey offers 65% more cargo space, gets 5 more miles to the gallon, and offers better rear seat comfort. also, consumer guide, who you used for your explorer link, reports the oddessy's weight as 4310. so now you're picking and choosing among the data to reflect your bias.

what's really funny is even though the Z06 can function without a spoiler, the slower Z28 apparently can't. oops. even the beloved heartbeat of america is guity of a little rice.

Oh STFU. One of you tards said the SUV was TWICE the size of your weenie-mobiles. He'd rather see the soccer moms driving the go-kart apparently. I have a feeling he wouldn't be squawking about it if she drove a minivan, though it's the same friggen weight! I was about to link to the Explorer SUV on Edmunds, but they didn't list it's weight!

You said true sports cars don't need them, I linked to a car that isn't a true sports car therefore agreeing with your point.
