No, unless someone stole it. 🙁

I'll look around.

unless you happen to work for http://www.growldesign.co.uk/ then I would say you are full of crap.

http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/2527 or http://www.growldesign.co.uk/portfolio/00013/

I mean dude, if you're going to use someone else's template, then by all means do so, but give some credit where credit is due.

About Jenna

I am a 19 year old web developer and designer who currently designs, full time, for a well known online retailer. Having been in the industry professionally for 3 years, I have gained the knowledge needed to create fully functional static or dynamic websites that meet the requirements of my clients.

Web design and development has been a hobby of mine since the age of 11, and a profession from the age of 16. I enjoy what I do and believe that this shows in my work.

That's the about me from growldesigns. Btw if this is true this is definitely pwnage of the year material

That looks a little too close to your website to just be a coincidence. So who stole from who?

In fact, it looks better than mine. Naturally I'll claim they stole it, but my opinion is meaningless so choose for yourselves. I wouldn't be surprised if you sided with them, I wouldn't blame you, they did a much better job with it.

I've gotta get off this computer now, might switch to the other and continue this game. If not, g'night.

So you're saying you designed everything including the art by yourself and then the girl stole your layout and made the minute changes and posted it on oswd?

It looks cool at first glace, but I cannot understand what the site is for. Well, I figured it out, but it took too long. First rule of web design! Put up a sentence on the first load page that explains EXACTLY what the site does.

The leave brushing was done elsewhere. I believe I saved the source somewhere, so when I get back on the other computer I'll look for the link.

By the way, your source has:

<link href="includes/bl-stylesheet.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

bl- stands for blue leaves perhaps?, the title of the template on oswd. HMMMMMM

You've got a very good point. Perhaps I'll have the "The Idea" page as the homepage.

LoKe, just man up and admit you used the template. There is nothing wrong with it if you admit it.

bl was for "blank" because I had filled out that portion of the code to begin with. Then I filled in my blanks later down the road.

Why would you need to add in "blank" for the title of your style sheet

Point. Set. Match.

I have no problem admitting using templates. If I did use one, I'd admit it. Actually, I've used a few in the past.

The reason I'm putting up a fight is because I don't like people to consider me a thief. I'm competent enough in HTML and CSS to design my own pages and would like credit for my work. I could care less if it was posted on that website; if others make use of something I created, cool. Perhaps in the future I'll create a new layout and update you all on my progress each portion at a time.

Reminder that I left it empty. That's just how I work. I've never taken a class to teach me otherwise.

The evidence speaks for itself. I'll let the others decide for themselves

"My name is Jenna xxxxxx, and I am a 19 year old female from Cambridgeshire, UK. I work full time as a Web Designer for a very well known company and freelance out of work through my growldesign website."

"My name is Matt xxxxxx, and I am an 18 year old male from Ontario, Canada.
I made my first website when I was 16 years old and have been using XHTML & CSS for around one year. Other languages I know include minor PHP and MySQL."

Why "male" and "female." Everyone knows Jenna is a girl and Matt is a guy...

It's getting stranger and stranger.

Like I said; you're entitled to your opinion. If you come to the conclusion that I ripped a simple layout (what would be the point?) then so be it. I won't try to argue it anymore, since it's obvious who you're siding with.

So why would you keep the bl- there and name your stylesheet as such despite having a completed style sheet. Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

I know two girls named Matty. Just want everyone to be sure. 🙂

And I also would like to point out that the template has a copyright of 2005 while your page has a "copyright" of 2006. Just something to ponder

It does; and I even forgot about it until now. I'll change it later.

My page was published in 2005 on my apache server. I updated the copyright to suit the new year. Is that not correct?
