Made fried chicken at home (mmm, panko). Unfortunately, ran out of every flavor of sauce known to mankind...no BBQ in the fridge. No honey mustard. Not even a jar of sweet & sour to be found. Miraculously, however, I found a couple small tubs of Chik-fil-a sauce in the back of the fridge.

Yissssssssssssssssss :D

Spent the entire day browsing the Internet, downloading porn, drinking beer and eating Cheetos. Now I'm watching a pirated feed of the Spurs/Cavs game.

Yesterday I finalized an electrical job in my basement, just perimeter outlets on the outside walls as I will be insulating so need to do electrical first. I turned on the 6 breakers for the different circuits and every single one worked and tested ok first try! Not that it's hard, but it's always nice when stuff works first try. :p

As for today, got invited for supper for one of my nephews' birthday, so free food and cake!

My tummy is full of delicious pizza and I can be thankful for that considering there are so many starving people in this fucked up world like DPRK and Africa.

The first world problem? I ate too much! Ohhhhhhh.

I have been wanting cast iron griddle for my Kamado Joe Jr. for awhile. But I couldn't find one that fit the small size of the grill anywhere for sale. But today while cleaning my garage, I found an old Lodge cast iron pan. It was the exact size I wanted but it wouldn't fit because of the long handle. So I grabbed a hacksaw and 5 minutes later, I had my custom made cast iron griddle perfect for my Kamado Joe Jr.

Nice! Quick tip I recently discovered - bamboo cleaning brushes for woks work amazing for cleaning out cast-iron skillets! After using the skillet, I hold it under the faucet while it's still warm & give it a quick scrub. The bamboo brush is really stiff, but gets all the baked-on crud off really easily. Plus they're super cheap:

Nice morning. Bowled 183, 200, 195 and won all the pots. $40 bucks. Little things count. :)

Full belly, and very likely got this useless twat of an 'enterprise support' technician in hot water with his boss for his endless delays/non-helpfulness in troubleshooting a SAN/virtualization problem.

Remind me why in the world we have enterprise support contracts again?

I have a computer, an air cleaner, a lamp, and a fan going. I can afford the electricity for all of them.

Any time I want, I can go to the kitchen and choose from a variety of vaguely healthy foods and drinks.

I am fluent in the currently most important language in the world.

My neighbors like me.

I have never been raped or beaten, and I am big and intimidating enough to deter the vast majority of people who might otherwise want to try.

I have more DVDs, books, and clothes than I need.

Even when I whine like a pathetic child, God still looks out for me.

My Community Plan Update project I've been working on for the last 3 years was finally adopted by the Board of Supervisors. I'm going to the bar after work, then I'm hopefully getting laid tonight....

Apparently New Zealand's south island has a hotel shortage that is supposed to get even worse this year. Fortunately I am an obsessive planner so even though we're going during peak season (Dec-Jan) I've been able to line up our ideal hotel options, even over NYE. Even this far out I'm seeing a lot of places close to being booked up so I feel bad for anyone trying plan much later than this

AND I've gotten Hilton point redemptions of 1.1, 1.0 and 0.95 cents when the generally accepted valuation is 0.4-0.5 cents. NZ is a great place for Hilton redemptions

I like that. I'm looking at my 20" JVC TV that I brought home in 1989 by tieing the box to a skateboard. Yes, I rolled it home over a mile. Last time I tried to turn it on I couldn't figure it out. It's wired to a digital --> analog converter.
