I just got a new supervisor and the IT folks updated the training system to add the person as my supervisor. Instead, they made me my own supervisor. In the context of training, it doesn't really matter. The same system is also used for annual performance reviews and bonus recommendations. Win! :p

I was approved for Medicare A & B, effective immediately. I also signed up for a medi gap plan effective Jan 1st. Emailed my doctor about possible help paying for Spirvia as all my other drugs won’t cost more than the part D plan deductible. Spiriva will put me in the doughnut hole in July. Obviously I will sign up for a drug plan as I might need other meds in future.

I was proactiv, made good choices today

Spiriva drives our selection of insurance plans and HSA allocations. Evergreening patents should be illegal.

UPS came with my replacement cutting board today but I was not home. However my Nest doorbell worked great, I spoke to the driver from my phone and he will re-attempt delivery tomorrow. Thanks first-world tech solutions to first-world problems!

unfortunately, Spiriva actually helps me out some, my rescue inhaler usage is down.
Spiriva was a life changer for my wife; it's good stuff. And the manufacturer keeps jacking the price, year after year. The price is more than three times what it was a few years ago. It is now 30,000 times as expensive as gold.

I live on a two-way street with lots of pedestrian traffic and the front of my building has two steps and then it's sidewalk. Sometimes packages can stay there for hours but there is always a possibility of theft.

The building is semi-detached so there is a gate where they can throw packages over, and I have that done all the time but not when they're fragile.

I live in a house, however crime has been awful. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid.

My favorite was probably the 'lets buy them off an ocean megafreighter and turn them into dwellings!' followed by 'Uh....wait...now how do we deal with all the incredibly toxic materials they used to prevent corrosion and pest issues?'

You also don't really save much money by the time everything is done. The containers themselves are expensive and you still need to build internal walls for insulation etc. I think the container homes can look kind of cool though but you definitely don't save.

Had too many groceries yesterday to carry home from my parking spot, so I left the 12 pack of Sam Adams sampler beers in the trunk and forgot to go back to get them. I went to get them today to have one and did not have to wait to get one cold in the fridge first, as it's 35 degrees out so my beers were cold already, and I could drink one right away. Fantastic!

Otherwise winter sucks.
