Linkage

Return of the King will be released on December 14. Last time I pre-ordered a DVD from Amazon was the Star Wars Trilogy and it arrived the same day it was released. (Thanks to everyone who Shared the Love, I got it at a killer price.)

My e-mail is gizzard at mac dot com if anyone would like to Share the Love with me. =)

Do you know what Share the Love is? Or are you just being an armchair moderator?

The OP is not referring anybody. He is ASKING to be referred. There is a clear difference, and nobody really gains from STL except for both parties involved - the referrer gets an Amazon credit for the discount amount, and the buyer gets the discount. Both parties benefit equally.

I plan on ordering this from amazon. I haven't done the "share the love" for a couple of years. Does it always give you the option to do so when you pre-order something? I would like to get in on a STL deal.

VTHodge, I believe that you enter in the e-mail of a referral just before you place the order (or maybe right after). It does work for pre-orders.

Noirish, does the box set contain the extended edition DVDs and extras? That's what this pre-order is for. =)

If you go to Amazon, you can see the box set.
It containers all three Extended Editions.

is this end all be all dvd collection that includes all the extras, extended cinemas, or is there another set I should wait for that'll come out that will rule them all?

Why does Amazon's description for the big box list:
Number of discs: 3
It should be more like 12, yes?

Also, don't forget the A9 discount.

The DVD talk forum has a STL thread for the 4 disc platinum edition link here.

Thx for the love Mr. Hodge, but I am actually looking for the complete 3pack set at $77.98 (cause I don't have any yet).

If anyone is going for the full 'The Lord of the Rings - Special Extended DVD 3-Pack' set and can share the love with me I will pass on the favor. Many thx.
