Love sent (I think). Anyone know how long amazon will keep the 40% discount? I assume that they'll raise the price soon after the release date (last Tues).

I have a question - can you STL on orders you've already placed, or only immediately after placing the order? (and if so, how do you do it?)

I'm not sure how long you can wait, but I didn't close my browser and wasn't logged out so I just hit the back button and added another email to the s-t-l page. I suppose if you wait a long time you can log in under a different browser window.

You might have better luck for the 12-disc set at the DVD Talk forum here; however, I didn't see anyone sharing recently.

I needed it tonight though so I went ahead and ordered... if anyone else wants it too, lmk and I will STL to you.
 
The STL box shows up immediately after you confirm your order, and while you can use the back button and make it work for some short period of time, once its gone there is no way to get back to it to add anybody. Whats wild is that you can add HUGE numbers of people by pasting in 50 addresses, pressing submit, and then back and doing 50 more.

You can only get ONE STL 10% discount on any purchase. This means if I just go a buy LOTR, then STL with everybody on this list, everybody that buys within 7 days using the email notice link saves 10%, but I only get a 10% credit from the first person. And if I buy LOTR using STL from somebody else, I immediately save 10%, but don't get another 10% when someone else buys using a STL from me.

Now the good news, the people at DVDtalk forum have an automated system for hooking people up. http://www.dvdtalk.com/stl/php/index.php
I just signed up for the trilogy, and will report back on how well it works.

BTW one note on amazon free shipping, I ordered 2 xmas presents on 12/14 and today 12/17 they show as shipping soon. OTOH del still shows as 121/23.
