That claim about AMDZone is really ridiculous, do you really care that much about where I post? ><.. Im sure I could have posted other places too but i didnt, and not for any reason specifically. There really is nothing more to this, so I have nothing more to say to you.

You don't seem to get it so i made this illustration. This is basically what you have been doing:

yes because 95% of people on the online community would find that useful at all.... (shakes head)

No, not just the AT community, but pretty much almost every other neutral community. As others have mentioned, you strangely avoided the AMD fanatical "AMDzone". Someone interested in "sharing" most definitely would have shared with that group of people.

Why? I've been an AMD fan for a long time, and other then a link to them from a google search i don't think Ive ever browsed their site. Are we suppose to stick to pre determined forums now.

Has he not come back and answered and questions and asked for additional benches that people want completed? This want just a pump and dump posting form what i can see.

Please don't speak for everybody. Because you don't speak or me.

I was very interested in his OP. Look at the responses from the other places he posted it. They too seem to be happy with the contribution.

If he ran a foul of self promotion forum guidelines then that should be dealt with. Other wise you have no right to tells someone what they can and cant post.

I'm going to have to agree with Mark the mod guy above (where he agrees with the other guy, not in mod capacity). It's unfortunate that you can't see the difference between what this guy is doing, and what enthusiast behavior is.

The mods here have very strict guidelines and often have people who skirt right against the edge, breaking them in spirit, but not by the exact word.

No one said it was a "pump and dump" posting. That wouldn't be effective at what he is trying to do. It's much more effective to keep the spamming up, and post daily with "hey guys, here's another tidbit! Look at my blog!"

If that is sarcasm then yes! You are 100% correct, that is not useful at all just like what you have been doing this entire thread. Wasting everyone's time by being a troll/shill. Poor form.

This is not true in the least. Show me 1 , just 1 benchmark he posted that shows BD beating everything else by a wide margin.

You know nobody is forcing you guys to click on this link. Here an idea.. The next time you see a post about DB performance. just skip it.. you know it sucks and your not interested in the architecture at all. Other then ruining what was a useful post to me and some others, what have you contributed to this thread?

What is this enthusiast behavior?? Am i supposed to behave like you want me to now? haha! That is ridiculous.

Get over the fact that I have my reasults injected into other reviewer's results. Its for comparison sake only. I could just have easily linked to their site after posting my results by themselves. I am confident I am not breaking any rules because I am obviously not claiming ownership of the results, and instead sourcing them. This has never been an issue on any of the websites I have posted on, many of which regulate what can and cant be posted in the forums. If it really is against the rules , please find me evidence and I will gladly alter how i present my results. Do anything constructive please! Im begging you! So far its just insults and trolling.

Furthermore, this guy has a grand total of 1 post outside this thread. IS that really behavior indicative of a community member? Apart from a stray "buy AMD!" post in one other thread every post by this guy is in this thread, about his blog. How is that not self-promotion in your mind?

I have not insulted you. I have severely criticized your message because it is not genuine, but nowhere have I insulted you.

By the way, attribution is not a free reign to utilize other's images. I can't make a website filled with news stories and insert my own 5 seconds of audio in to them. You are doing the same thing.

I especially like how he takes a video card benchmark, and throws in a BD with a different video configuration as proof of this imagined superiority.

How exactly is that not intentionally misleading, guy trying to defend him?

Slide 1 shows it losing to a 980 rig with 580's in SLI. It only over takes the 980 and 580 after reaching 990/1500 clocks on the 6990..

Hey everyone look!! the BD losses to last gen tech when overclocked to 4.8ghz, and doesn't pull back ahead until the 6990 is at 990/1500.

You right I'm sure people are lining up now to buy BD's.

Is his method flawed. sure
Should he have added the current intel gen... probably (he did in other benchmarks)
Should he have tried to use the most popular hardware forums to push is blog... probably not

Would have been nice if a post like his would have led to the discussion(s) on the effect the previous and current generations CPU's have on high end gaming.

Oh well...

I label everything, so what exactly am I doing wrong? It should be obvious that an overclocked GPU will result in better performance. The real comparison is when the 6990 is at stock between the two CPUs, 980x @ 4 Ghz and my FX @ 4.8 Ghz.

And since he is here still, what happened when you asked him about this, and if he could rerun the benches with matching parameters?

I'm not trying to say the guy is a saint, i don't know him.. this is the internet. i dont know you either. I find the best way to expose anything is to shed light on it, not just use thread crapping and name calling to run somebody off.

Hes done it in such a convoluted way to make it appear to the casual viewer that bulldozer is doing well. Ive said it many times before his whole post screams "buy bulldozer! its pretty good!" He has avoided saying things like "its the best" but hes definitely here to BS people on its performance when in actual fact it gets beaten by the older nehalem chips at most things.

Because we know that he is not going to give us a straight answer, and you seem reasonable, just a bit deceived.

I assumed you would know where to look to get the CPU comparison, the overclocked results are put in there more just to see scaling.

This is exactly what I have been tryign to say. If you are not satisfied with the results, then please request how I could change it and I will re-post an update later on. I have had about only five requests so far across all the forums, and I have already posted one of them.

I have been trying to say this over and over..

Yeah, but how well does it perform in Wintune 97? That's the question everyone should be asking.
