I went and looked at Madcatz controllers the other day. They seemed to have every color but the beige for a new controller, but they did have one used beige one. The beige is such a better looking controller than the rest of them. Why did they eve bother with colors? I was going to buy the used one, but it's all boogered up even after being cleaned and repackaged. What do people do to their controllers to get them so dirty?

I guess the quest is on for a new beige Madcatz controller or a clean used one.

I'm so sad that I sold my Dreamcast...
Does anyone live near a Target that has one for $25? Please?

I hate to even mention this since the chances are *beyond* slim, but the Dreamcast System will ring up at Wal*Mart as $29.96 if you happen to find one there.

Don't hate me, but I found one just sitting on a shelf at a Wal*Mart last week. That was definately a fluke. So I sold mine to someone so that yet another person could take part in the Dreamcast Experience. ;) (I have course had to keep this brand new one.)

So don't run out to your local Wal*Mart because I'm sure they're all gone. I guess I am just posting this to note the price in case someone wants to know. I suppose it's better to find it at Target since it's ~$25 there.

;)

My experience with 3rd party DDR (soft) mats is that they're all going to be relatively the same. That is, they'll be nice and good for a while if you treat them carefully, some will eventually die or become larthargic and non-responsive, and others will remain working (ie. the pads will respond 80% of the time or so). All soft mats I've seen follow this general trend. If you require 100% accuracy, you won't be happy with them, because soft mats will always "miss" some steps that you have blatently stepped on. It's just how they are. As for sliding... i use duct tape to hold them down, kinda messy though.

I've seen foam pads before, but have never tried them myself. Never seen the level-six mod before-can't tell you how that'll work out.

DC game prices in stores have crept back up a bit, and the selection is almost nothing right now. You're probably best off gettin them on eBay.

Anyone ever done a comparison of the Interact light gun and the Madcatz one?

(I have the Madcatz one, and it works great, but I CANNOT get it to be accurate in Confidential Mission).

Don't worry - I've heard complaints from many users about the calibration tool in that game is poor. I have the Interact gun and I don't believe the aim is accurate either.

Is there anybody that wants to make an even swap? I've got an extra sealed NBA 2K2 that I would love to swap for a sealed NFL 2K2.

Never mind.. I found a NFL 2K2 this evening at Target for 9.94. All I need now is Sonic 2 and I will feel complete. ;)

BTW... How long does it usually take for Target to put the returns back on the shelf? I had to return a couple of games that I paid $27 for on clearance. Because it was clearance, they will not allow you to rebuy it on the spot or price adjust. The best I can hope for is hitting the store where I returned them and find them on the shelf and rebuy them at the cheaper price.

Oh.. Almost forgot. I found 2 Mad Catz Dream Pads in beige/gray this evening. They were regular price at $12.99, but if they are all that you guys say they are... I'm going to give one a try and if I like it better than the Sega controller, I'll probably sell one of my Sega backup controllers.

Anyway..

Can anyone here get a new Dreamcast? If so, I would really like to set something up with you, and I will gladly pay you a finders fee for picking one up for me. You can email me at paul21@charter.net and we'll get something started!

I have a HUGE list of "backup" DC Games. If anyone is interested in trading, adding to my collection, or just receiving, give me a PM. I can make CDI's for most of them and send (broadband connection only please). If this is illegal in this forum, someone let me know so I can edit it appropriately. Otherwise, here is my complete list of backup games:

Sorry, I was told this was not allowed in the forums :(

Patients pays off!

Dr. Fritzo, I presume?

By the way, I found 3 more NBA 2k2s and 1 Tennis 2K2 at Target today. This was at a Target that didn't have them before. maybe they were returns that took a while to make it back to the shelf.
