Yes, I was at Target today and here are some of the latest prices:

NFL 2K1 - $4.34
NBA 2K1 - $4.34
Crazy Taxi 1 - $6.90
Crazy Taxi 2 - $13.90
Sega Bass Fishing - $5.50
Razor Scooter - ~$5.xx
MBL 2K2/Tennis 2K2/NCAA 2K2 Football/Sonic Adventure 2 - $20.xx each
NFL 2K2 - $27.xx

This Target had restocked recently because they've been out of DC games for a while.

I picked up a couple of duplicate copies that I purchased from Target last month. I'll have Target adjust the old price I paid to the new price, and I'll get about 15 bucks back! I wish there were other Targets in the area I could check for games...

Shameless bump for how great NFL 2k1 is. I was messing around with the create your team feature, man did my team look cool. Too bad Steve Young isn't as good as I thought he was. And with Barry Sanders getting injured, my team really got smoked. Got to love it though!

I've just started to figure out how to play NFL 2K1. I've been playing NFL Blitz for the last few weeks, and trying to change to 2K1 is tough. I still suck at defense, and my receiving is not that good. I'm a pretty mean rusher tho. Last game I had over 200yds rushing, and only about 30 passing yds. What's the secret to get the receivers to catch the ball if you take control of them before the ball gets there? If I let the computer catch it, he almost never drops it. But if I try to catch it, I always miss. :(
I guess I just need to run more practice plays.

Thanks for whoever posted the Target DC clearance. I picked up Jet Grind Radio and Toy Comander for $5.50 each. They also had all the 2k1s for $5.50. Thanks.

Got a question.. With Target's clearance, I was able to complete my 2k2 sports collection. Now.. If I have the sports 2k2's, is there any reason to keep the 2k1's? I feel so silly for not having opened any of these games yet. I'm still trying to figure out what to keep..

BTW.. My Target had a gazillion Marine Fishing games for $5.50 each. I had bought this game 2 weeks ago for $7.99 and when I went back to PM, they wouldn't let me. They said that they would not PM clearance items. They wouldn't even let me do a return/rebuy. The guy just took it from me and stuffed it in a cart behind the counter.. Whatever... I just went back to the game section and picked up another one and purchased that one for $5.50 instead.. Goofy Target..

The one game that I wanted to pick up was Sonic 2. I had it in my hands a week or so ago when it was still regular price and now it's gone (naturally). It wouldn't have helped me anyway to have bought it a week or so ago because if I wanted the price adjustment, I would've been SOL. I would've had to have sneaked behind the counter and grabbed the game for resale. Goofy Target. ;) Heh

If you have the 2k2 collection, there really is no reason to keep the 2k1 IMO. I'm waiting for the 2k2 to drop in price then I'm getting rid of my 2k1s.

CourtJester,

Glad that Target stuff helped you, and others!

How much difference is there *really* between the 2K1 and 2K2 series? I've got NBA/NFL 2K1, which now I've only paid $4.34 a piece for. I've got MBL 2K2. I have played NCAA 2K2, and it is so similar to NFL 2K1, I didn't see a difference. Can anyone with more experience comment on that?

Also, as I mentioned before, in December I purchased NBA/NFL 2K1 at Target for $9.90 a piece. Last night I returned them with the receipt and was fully credited. Try it if you have not yet opened those games!!

my opinion that 2k1 is really too similar to 2k2 that you don't need next year's version.
2k1 is still amazingly fun

I saw a Dreamcast keyboard at this strange outlet store yesterday. It was like $15. Would this be useful for anything? Also, anyone know where to find a network or broadband adapter? What is the difference between a network and broadband adapter? Sorry about the noob questions.

Now.. I haven't played the 2k1 or the 2k2 stuff yet and I have everything (still sealed). I know that the WSBaseball is supposed to be quite a bit better in the the 2k2 edtion, but is there really anything that different about the 2k1 in the football and basketball? Is the 2k2 series just improved or updated?

I guess what I'm tying to ask is if there is anything that is better about any of the 2k1 series vs the 2k2 series. Did Sega make a mistake somewhere where the 2k1 series in something was better than the 2k2?

I'm probably going to keep the 2k2 stuff and get rid of the 2k1, but if there is any reason to keep the 2k1 stuff, it's not that much money and I could keep that too.

LMK if you would?

Thanks for your responses already. They are much appreciated!

<< I saw a Dreamcast keyboard...Would this be useful for anything? >>

Used mainly with Web browser, although certain games (mainly FPS ports from the PC) can use both the keyboard and the DC mouse.

<< Also, anyone know where to find a network or broadband adapter? >>

eBay, if you have $$$ to burn. the best non-auction place to find one might be getting VERY lucky and locating a used one at "your local Gamestop/Funcoland for the DC Broadband adapter. In the very rare event that they have one, they will sell it for $19.99," as quoted from a few posts ago.

<< What is the difference between a network and broadband adapter? >>

Almost the same thing, although the network adapter was only meant for the Japanese DC market. We've received conflicting reports about the network adapter's compatibility with U.S. DC units, so YMMV.

Thanks TallGeese. Looks like $100 is the going rate for broadband adapters. I will pass for now.

Congratulations on the new golden member ranking. If the courteous and helpful reply you gave me is any indication of the quality of your posts, you should be escalated to platinum.

I just reached Platinum status and as many of you know, my posts are basically worthless. Does that mean I should be bumped down to Golden member status? ;) ;)

question for those with MC2 wheel,

Does your wheel vibrate? Mine doesn't and it only beeps quietly
Not sure what kind of force feedback that is, and I don't see a place to put in a rumble pack.

Also, does your gas pedal squeak? How would I get rid of this,
WD-40? lol

Love playing F355 by the way with this wheel, and I drift like a wacko now...hahaha
