Somehow liberals will support this. I wonder if the restaurant will be sued and fined for refusing service?

Esther Levy, 61, of Warwick, said an employee at the popular Cancun Inn eatery in Sugar Loaf chucked her out for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and a Trump button.

Maybe hang a sign up, no GOP members allowed?

How much should the restaurant have to pay in fines? How much were the christian bakers fined?

Hey Whats up TH? How are the pooches (Dogs)

The restaurant will say the hat and button were causing a disturbance in their business and it was hurting sales its quite OK to ask someone to leave a business as long as its not because of race, religion, sex. I know its a big general thing but its different thing to ask someone to remove a hat vs stop being gay.

They have the right to refuse service. There are no protections for Trump buttons.

As always, some animals are just more equal than others. Had she been wearing a gay pride shirt and hat, it would be a hate crime to throw her out.

Either we have laws requiring public accommodation and enforce them, or we don't. But if we are to have them, then they should be enforced fairly and impartially.

meh not really the same, your speech isn't protected in a business. Again it may or may not be true but the business owner will say the attire was bothering his clients, he asked him to remove them (which he may or may not have done) then asked the guy to leave.
Thats why I laugh at all the people who get butt hurt over having to serve gays, there are so many ways to avoid it or make their experience miserable its just stupid to say I won't serve you because you are gay. Hell make up a story and claim the person stole a sale shaker so you won't allow them back in.

While this is true, removing someone from a restaurant for wearing a MAGA hat and button is pretty lame.

FOX Carolina reports that Kenneth Shupe was called to pick up the woman in Asheville, N.C., on Monday but told her “very politely” he couldn’t tow her after seeing her Sanders paraphernalia.

He reportedly urged her to “call the government” for help since she was “obviously a socialist,” and also complained that, "Every business dealing in recent history with a socialist minded person, I have not gotten paid."

Shupe said he supports Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, and has decided he won’t do business with supporters of Democratic candidate Sanders.

Agreed, I'd only do it if he was being a complete jackass.
I forgot the other point. Trump guy would probably be welcomed back with different attire gay couple would never be welcomed back.

Businesses have EVERY right to refuse service to any democrat, republican, libertarian they choose. They are not protected classes. But as mentioned, you already know this Riprorin.

This is more akin to gun shop owners refusing to serve Obama voters (as if that's provable) than gays buying wedding cakes.

Let's make that much clear. It's not a spiritual objection; it's a political one. If I went to the local gun shop wearing a MAGA hat, probably no biggie. If I went to the local enchilada joint, I might get my ass kicked.

That's just that.

The 14th amendment applies to the government, not private business. It has nothing to do with this.
