Restarted MTG this week...from scratch

Meh, the only way to play is draft IMO. I can't find any casual players in my area, just a bunch of obsessed nerds who spend hundreds of $$$ customizing their decks to perfection with rare cards. At least a draft levels the playing field.

Hahah nice I play mainly Crane but want to try Spider.

L5R is by far the game with the worst wording...damn that was a hit in the face with a wooden club with rusted nail to just learn the game...but now it's fine heheh.

out of all the CCG's I played, L5R was one of my favorite. Towards the end I vastly preferred it over MTG.

Yeah it is unique and very thematic and I love the theme.

Last week we did a L5R draft with the new set that just got out. Costed 20CAD each for 5 players and 7 boosters. It was awesome and reminded me of my younger days. Plus at the end we just dropped all our cards in the middle of the table and each player took the cards for it's preferred faction and we devided the rest.

The reason the original dual lands go for so much is that the are considered basic lands so all cards that search for basic lands can search for a dual land.

Holy shit! Thanks for the notice, I still have my 4. Such an awesome card, a staple in almost any blue deck I had. Was not worth more than $10 when I played though, wish I loaded up on them.

We did a draft last week, 4 people at my place. It was damn fun. I ended up with a Black/Blue deck that was doing quite well and was fun to play. The main mechanic was some blue creatures that had great synergy with Black and some graveyard manipulatuion.

We played 3 games in 1v1 (ended with a 1-3, not that good but games were close) and 3 games in 3v3 (3-0!).

Playing again tonight with two new decks I made yesterday: White/Red and a Black/Green/Blue mainly derived from the Fate Reforged clash pack...
