Yes, every time someone uses a gun to stop the death or injury of an innocent person.
Despite your answering the question in some unproven generality, statistics say people who own guns are more likely to get shot.

So let's just get more knuckleheads buying guns to carry so they can come home set them on the kitchen table so the family can sit around it and eat.

Yeesh. Alabama at the top of the list already, hope my prediction is wrong. The Wyoming/Vermont comparison is very interesting too; similar population numbers but on opposite ends of the mortality spectrum. Yes very interesting.

Yea, the WY/VT one is pretty concerning. I bet it's mostly suicides though, WY is pretty bleak afaik. Beautiful countryside though, harsh.

If I ever move outta the NE, it will not be to a state with a red dot next to it. AZ, CO, maybe, but those "red" states can keep their gun nuttery away from me.
