Capcom released the official Resident Evil 6 benchmark program, which will tell potential players how the just-released PC version will run on their Windows machines. The minimum system requirements include a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or AMD Athlon X2 2.8 Ghz processor with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of free hard drive space and an Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS

Capcom announced last month that the PC version will come with a new mode, 'The Mercenaries: No Mercy'. It's said to be a more challenging version of the existing 'Mercenaries' mode with "more enemies on screen than ever before", but also "the opportunity to rack up even higher combo scores".
Also announced (through that link) were plans to release a 'Siege mode' for the console versions of the game, an online multiplayer mode for two to six players. More details in that report.

The 2nd segment, has zombies emerging and fps goes below 50fps (for me).
SLI works, well.

Did you do it with fraps and yes ik what that means

What do you mean with fraps? I pressed Alt-tab sat at the desktop, score didn't change when I came back after a bit.

In fact the benchmark restarted when I went back. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

ok i see...you have to alt-tab out WHILE the scene is running. Then you come back with inflated scores. The way they made it seem was you get your result then alt-tab out and it will bump it up.

It's easy enough to weed those results out, but besides this was just made for you to see how your system would play the game and nothing more. Totally not made as a comparison tool like futuremark stuff.

Using the default settings of course (everything to its highest setting). Kinda silly if it gives a score with non-standard settings.

I've played the beta on Xbox 360 and quit frankly it sucks

I use screen capture in MSI AB, just assign a hotkey.

Here is my htpc, a e4500/HD 4770 stock 2.2ghz cpu /800mhz gpu

I used the default , all high/on settings at 1680x1050 (native), I could never play at those settings, probably low and other settings , AA, motion, would be off.

edit: It is like the FFIV benchmark , it cycles. So you have to grab your score before it re-starts.

MSI Twin Frozr 7870 OC @ 1050/1200
FX-8350 @ 4.2GHz
Catalyst 13.1 WHQL

Max settings @ 1080p (Vsync OFF)

Performance is decent, although it goes below 60FPS more often than I'd like it to. 🙂 (these images are pretty heavily compressed, so I apologize for the poor quality)

Here it's fine:

This part kills it though. Definitely the most taxing, with Leon and that other chick standing on top of the van surrounded by crowds of zombies. Only place where the framerate goes down into the 20's:

Despit being in the 30's and 40's for a large chunk of the benchmark, it still insists that it performs "exceptionally well":

Turning off AA helps, but only a tiny bit. You could argue that it's worth it to leave AA turned on in this game because of the minimal performance impact. At the same time though, the change in IQ is also very minimal. Such is the nature of FXAA I guess.

Game still doesn't release for another month; I suspect we will see some driver improvements specifically for this game.

Anyone else with a 7870 wanna compare?

Not bad as it beats HD 7870 what I was planning to buy when it was released :<

Is the game optimized for NV since its a NV title?

Probably, which would explain why the 560Ti is beating out the 7870. But as I mentioned earlier, we should probably expect some upcoming AMD driver optimizations.

I overclocked my 7870 to 1100/1300, and my score went up ~350 points. Still shy of Liven's score with his 560Ti, but I don't know what kind of OC he's doing (if any)

@1080P:
Kami has: 3770K + GTX680 = 12407
cmdrdredd has: 3570K + GTX670 = 18177

lol que? this benchmark has backwards scaling...

Did you check if your gpu usage was at 100%?

Capcom's engines don't like AMD cpus all that much.

Stock is 732Mhz I have overclocked it 200Mhz. Also with these clocks it beats overclocked GTX 570 in Unigine Valley.

cmdrdredd has GTX 670 SLI . I have 2 way sli, so I know that is working.
edit: a gtx 560ti-448 (GF 110) core at those clocks is as fast as a GTX 580.
It's not the average 560-ti, based on the GF104
I don't think we have seen any crossfire results yet. It's to soon to judge if there are any significant optimizations. We don't know core/general cpu trends yet either.
