Republicans storm impeachment inquiry deposition in House intelligence hearing room

This is why Democrats are trying to move this along quickly. Republican tactic will be turn hearings into a circus, bog down questioning with conspiracy theories.

Dems holding closed door hearings now because bad faith witnesses would coordinate testimony.

Since the DOJ won't investigate this congress is. They are in the grand jury phase at this point. Ever hear of a public grand jury? Republican committee members are in attendance by the way. This will all be brought out at the official impeachment inquiry.

I guess we need to protect the kangaroo court from the Constitution.

As the Constitution is not being violated by the inquiry any actions taken by Gaetz is fundamentally anticonstitutional, perhaps illegal and certainly against national security protocol, but when people support a President who can murder moment by moment with impunity as his lawyers have effectively argued in court today, there's no surprise in the Trumpettes tactics and statement.

Would an armed insurrection against Congress meet with your approval? It would make the impeachment problematic and make your fears about kangaroo courts less worrisome.

Are you prepared to save Trump by force of arms? It's a legit question as you say that a kangaroo court is attacking the Constitution.

We'll see.

Do you ever get tired of doing nothing more than claiming the polar opposite of what's true and hoping we'll be dumb enough to believe you?

The process is constitutional; there is solid, publicly available evidence to merit the inquiry; it's also highly likely that Gaetz and crew violated the law here.

How embarrassing it must be to be a Republican right now. The politicians that back Trump literally have no spine or moral compass, and the supporters literally have to spend all day conjuring up lies to stave off the truth of Trump being a horrible embarrassment to them and the country. Sad.

Matt Gaetz and his clique of brownshirts. Plus, they brought in recording devices into a secure room where no recording devices are supposed to be allowed. After the committee was adjourned and the room cleared, Capitol police had to be brought in to sweep the room for recording devices.

Hopefully that this scene has convinced most of America that the Republican Party is nothing more than a criminal organization.

Interfering with an investigation. Lock their asses up for contempt, obstruction.

All that to destroy an investigation of a corrupt president and his corrupt cronies. First time in a long time that I called my state Reps. and let them have it

It's also being reported that several of the Republicans brought electronic devices into this room which is a federal crime because this room is a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility). Matt Gaetz tweeted from the SCIF, then later claimed it was his staff tweeting.

Quiz time!

Within 24 hours, Trump's sycophants have:
a) Publicly claimed that "abuse of power is not a crime"
b) Stormed a SCIF to impede testimony and compromised national security in the process
c) Argued, in court, that the President can shoot someone on 5th Avenue and cannot even be investigated for that crime
d) ALL OF THE ABOVE!
