Republicans See Trump as a Racist They Can Work With

Donald Trump is a deplorable racist. I’m supporting him.

This is not hyperbole. After all the hemming, the hawing, and the tugging of double chins, it's the consensus of the elders of the Republican Party, despite Trump’s inability to tamp down his prejudices and his propensity to sound like a drug lord threatening a judge about to break up a murderous cartel.

Good morning emperus,

Yes it is. The GOP has steadily been hijacked by a new breed of racists and bigots. What used to be the party of Lincoln, now more closely resembles the party of Breckenridge. Welcome to the new GOP, endorsed by the CCC. D:

At a yearly dinner meeting last night in an expensive restaurant with about 15 of my top clients, where we normally berate politicians and religion, one client had the nerve this year to mention Trump. We freely stated in a very calm voice: Anyone else voting for Trump? The table got quiet and people even stopped chewing. I already knew that this could go downhill quickly. One of my most outspoken clients retorted, "Are you kidding?" Are you not aware of his racist statements, and other foot in the mouth issues he has? The first guy stated, of course I know all about it and that's why I'm voting for him.

He explained that we come here every year and complain about the politicians, the theft and bribery in the government. And these are with the politicians that we voted for and supported. We've made bad choices for decades.

Trump is a virus and speaks his mind. Are we not all a little racist inside? Let him clean up government from the inside. The congress can keep him in line and veto most things if he gets out of line. He has advisors and such. Let him run lose and clean up things from the inside. Cleaning up government any other way has NEVER worked. Clinton obviously won't do it. Give Trump a try. No, he won't be good for the most people, but he will be good for government and government is what controls the country. I don't want to come back here next year complaining about Clinton. Make a change.

Too many people are trying to figure out what candidate is best, but sometimes the worst candidate can be best when you look at the big picture.

Twisted and perverted logic? I wonder how many Germans thought the same thing about the corporal before he usurped absolute power 8 decades ago? No thanks, I ain't buying what you're selling.

You actually believe Trump wants to "clean up" government?

Trump has never done anything for anyone, except Donald Trump.

Gawd. WTF makes you think Trump could possibly clean up govt or that he has any intention of doing so?

Trump makes his money peddling gambling, booze & sleazy real estate schemes along with creative corporate bankruptcy & a brand driven by his obnoxious reality TV persona. He defines corruption.

From the article

"Trump's contention that Judge Curiel couldn’t be impartial by virtue of his ancestry was the “textbook definition of a racist,” Ryan said."

Ryan didn't say this. Completely dishonest quotation.

I am really loving your desperate descent into pedantry about the whole Trump racism thing.
