At least it's a credible and respected news outlet, unlike the tabloids you read (Spewsmax and Wash. Times)

Considering their performance over the past three years, I'm not sure a budget would help at all.

That is precisely why they are credible and repected. Do you think Newsmax or Washington times would have fired someone for journalistic misconduct or distorting the truth? If they did, they wouldn't have many employees left.

Not to mention issuing a public mea culpa for believing the intelligence provided by Chalabi and the INC and not investigating that information further on their own. Spewsmax, the Wash. Times, et al will still be defending that intelligence to the very end of their press runs.

Non sequitur . . . they don't even acknowledge the war in the budget . . . it's always supplemental or the most recent request . . . I think they called it "special contingency funding" or some other BS.

They have full control of the government and can't even pass a budget. Do you really want these people in power?

I agree with you on that, and I am implying a divided government, not Democrat or Republican.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA??

These jokers didn't quit on their own volition, they were FIRED..
and the NYT's has yet to denounce or return the Pulitzer Prize Duranty won for the pro-Stalinist propaganda (repleat with demonstrable lies, lies, and more henous lies) he wrote years ago.

Blair wrote something like 50 articles from 1999-whenecer, before he was caught.
some of these guys still work there and have never been fired or disciplined.

the NYT's is no more accurate a source of news than anyother source. it does have significantly more readership and influence however, so that when it does screw up the truth, it has a much greater effect on society.

i don't find any single news source "credible" (particularly the NYT's), and i absolutely don't "respect" the NYT's.

it is the mouthpiece of New York City Elitist Liberals, and their view of the world, and how it should be...and you would be wise to realize this. they are bias, they are powerful, they have no remorse or guilt.

Lemme get this straight. Congressional Republican leaders are attempting to destroy the fiscal integrity of the govt thru the vehicle of massive indebtedness and eventual destruction of the middle class via transfer of wealth into the hands of very few using selective tax cuts, subsidies, and program cuts...

But it's the Elitist Liberal Media that has no remorse or guilt...

The whole argument fairly oozes with the smug sense of entitlement adopted by the upper class in the war they've declared on the rest of us...

If they cut spend the republicans will be derided by the democrats, if they keep the current level of spending they will be derided by democrates, if they raise spending they will be derided....

funny how that works.
BushCo will not present a budget, in fact will be paralyzed into historic inaction, because they're afraid of what the minority Democrats might think?

I call [cough] bullsh!t [/cough].

There will be some budget presented and passed. If there is not, maybe a goverment shutdown will be needed.
The Bush Administration: Making A Government Shutdown Look Amazingly Appealing Since 2000!

It was appealing the last time the republicans did it....and still is.
Charrison, I believe you misspelled "appalling". ;)

I love how the stuck up people on this board love to point out a typo, it must make them feel superior when it really makes them look sad.

Might want to give your sarcasm detection meter a fresh set of batteries.

BTW, nice attack. I can see you're going to last long up here coming in and attacking people like that.
