I don't trust the Fed much but I will take their stated intentions over what you think anyday.

Worse is that if you are right then the Fed has failed miserably because the money is not being lent (therefore the money supply is not really expanding since the banks keep it in their "vault") and as you keep stating inflation, other than volatile things like food and energy, has been low. Then consider that this is basically the last tool the Fed has in its bag....
 
So it's been a safe harbor play for going on three years now? Exactly how long will treasuries need to remain this low before you guys admit you were wrong? There's always a new excuse.

have you seen the stock market lately?

Exactly how long it lasts depends on how long until we see true economic recovery. What else are they supposed to invest in? European debt maybe?
