laying the groundwork for gridlock until their 2012 goal

is that what you retards voted for? You know, by the time 2012 runs around and pailin becomes your new runner up... You'll be so disgusted with the "R" that you'll gladly vote back in Obama!

Hahaha

Maybe try a third party? I dunno, but it just doesn't make much sense to vote in a bunch of people you don't know. Don't care to know... Just for a little gridlock? Sounds rather boring to me. Doesn't really matter because it won't change much. Just the same BS different day.

OK......

Carry on... :awe:

The fact of the matter is that the Democrats planned Obamacare to fail. Obamacare does nothing more than drive more and more people onto medicaid thus giving the federal government the "need" to institute single payer.

Anyone who thinks you can provide services to 30 million people while lowering costs must be smoking some of the 'medical' marijuana over in CA.

Secondly, if the federal government is able to require someone to purchase a private product from a private company using private money to be in good standing with the government by simply existing, there is nothing the federal government cannot do. Now I know that expanding the constitution via it being a "living" document (now if it was intended to be a "living" document why was there an amendment process put in? but that is another discussion) the laws of unintended consequences have always come back to bit the "progressives" in the ass.

Both sides need to rise up and defend the constitution even if the actual words (not made up ones) don't agree with your position. The more the people allow the Constitution be eroded by bureaucrats in D.C. the less power the people will have.

It's pretty unlikely that the Republicans will alter Obama's health care proposal in any major way. Almost all of the provisions of it are individually popular/tied to other popular provisions.

the only thing they seem capable of doing is underfunding the IRS so that the laws mandating people purchase health care can't be enforced.

There's probably a dozen ways to get at funding for it. The problem is that the Reps don't get it either. Go figure.

This isn't about "cost savings" or politics. Oh the first can be addressed but not by any mechanism the pols understand.

Control of 1/2 of the legislative branch ≠ "in charge".

OK, then I'll hate both sides. I hope that "Rent Is Too Damn High" guy runs then. He's the only party left that I don't hate.

Note how that blocked Obamacare.

Did you notice how "Obamacare" morphed into almost exactly what Republicans proposed in the 90s? There's no no public option, or even Medicare available to anyone to buy into. That's because Democrats needed all 60 votes to overcome the filibuster, including that turncoat Leiberman's.

I note that people are glad to accept the lie as long as it suits their perception.

You didn't criticize Obama when he went for healthcare instead of jobs. Why?

Regardless, that's in the past. In 2012, GOP will have to answer for getting nothing done on jobs. And the more time they spend on passing healthcare legislation bound for either Senate or White House garbage bin, the less they will have to show on the jobs front come 2012.

Please address why you gave Obama a pass, but now are rabid over the Republicans (possibly) doing it.

I am not rabid about them doing it, they can focus on health care over jobs, but they should be ready to get same treatment over it in 2012 as Dems got in 2010. If they want to run as the "Do Nothing House" come 2012, that's their choice. At least Obama got his stuff passed, they'll really be running on a record of getting nothing done.

So you dont give Obama a pass? You feel he should have focused on jobs?

I think politically, that is actually true. I am proponent of health care reform, but I was a bit surprised he brought it up in his first year. I am glad he did, but it did cost him politically, no doubt.
