I believe that self respect is at the root of personal initiative. I believe that ridicule to self respect creates two different kinds of people, bases on factors to numerous to detail here. One kind works to get even, to prove the criticism wrong, that they are motivated to prove themselves, which means they have actually bought into the ridicule. The second type becomes defeated and fears to try out of certainty of failure. They have bought into the notion of their inferiority too. So the first type makes fun of the second, destroying their humanity, and the second type learns to become dependent.

So the real solution to this lies in the human spirit, how to heal the heartless and the disabled. They are just the opposite sides of the same coin. They are infected by self hate. But don't forget that Jesus worked with the broken because they are easier to fix. The others, because of the size of their egos, don't fit too well through the eye of a needle.

The lies and spin are strong in this thread. Your puppet masters would be proud.

You guys know that with Obamacare you can get treatment to help with your allergies of facts;)
And I have to pay through the nose for such

I used to be able to see my local MD for $20 and get the pill.
Now I will be able to see him and still pay the $20. but Obama also wants me to pay $5K for the right to be sick

The price of a cure would be cheap by comparison.

I will gladly pay the $20 for the cure rather than the $5K for the shaft.

...I thought republicans were supposed to be the evil rich.

They like to make believe they will one day be rich. A handful of the rich do control and guide the republican party and help indoctrinate the rest of the mouth breathers to vote against their own best interests though.

So the people who have supported Food Stamps by paying taxes in the past are hurting enough now to need them. Not sure if that was your point or not, OP?
