This was probably my most favorite of report cards, here it is:

Social Studies 49% F
Chemistry 54% F
Math 61% F
English 70% D
Art 87% B
Broadcast Media 93% A
Computer Apps. 100% A

When I saw it I just laughed. I was actually hoping for straight F's because that report card reflected nothing of me. I didn't try at all in any of the classes with F's and those I did better in I tried only because I really like the teachers. I've never did this bad in school.

Usually not. Don't know about id but in the schools around me you had to have at least a D (60%) to pass.

No F is passing. Here's my school's grading policy:

A 100%-93%
B 92%-84%
C 83%-74%
D 74%-63%
F 63% or less

All of my teachers except for Chemistry have written me notes telling me I'm "very intelligent" yet don't understand why I don't apply myself. I have yet to give them an answer...

I actually think I don't apply myself because I don't think anything is worthy of spending time with. I just like to waste time doing nothing and I really hate being involved in anything because I think it all adds up to nothing. Simplify the matter of life: we're just here roaming this big rock satisfying our hunger, sexual and other desires or needs that were handed to us by a higher power. Time will not cease yet we believe it will and so we try to make our lives seem important by racing in and out of our houses to jobs that don't matter and pretending like we're making a difference.

That's pretty deep. You should put it on your welfare application.

I'll be blunt: with my morale, I don't plan on reaching my twenties.

Me too. I ended up with a 3.2 on a 4.0 scale at the end of HS.

well er, yea, well done, and if you really want to work for maccy Ds then congrats

OTOH, if you want to do well in life, you tend to have to work for it. I used to not care about most of my classes, but i know that when i'm older i want to have a well payed job etc, so i started trying. I also found physics interesting when i got into it, and low and behold, A+ on the test, when the class average minus me was D/E. Good Good feeling.

You obviously think whining to us is worthy of your time. You aren't special. You aren't the only one who doesn't like school. Suck it up and do your work. you can whine about it when you're done.

Oh ya, if you were my kid I would beat you senseless with your own computer. You don't deserve such a nice rig with your crap for grades.

The interesting thing is that I made a bet with my friend (Straight A student) for $50 saying that I'll have all my grades up to at least 85% next nine weeks and I guarantee he'll be owing me.

I still don't know why I like posting about stupid, pointless, personal conflicts. Probably because I think you people are some of the most interesting of people I have ever met. My friends are all unoriginal morons with no opinions on anything.

I'm pretty sick of reading your threads where you are like

'Gee I'm just so tired of hating myself and hurting myself and doing bad in school because what the hell does it really matter anyways and this girl I know that is a freqeuent drug user talks to me sometimes and I have a huge crush on her but I'm not sure what I can do to convince her to leave her suicidal drug-over-dosing tendencies so she can come live with me happily ever after.'

You know what?
'Life sucks. Get a fvckin' helmet.' -- Dennis Leary

Seriously dude.
Feeling fat? Go work out.
Not doing well in school? Get the hell off ATOT and open up your books.
Not sure that life is worth living? What else are you going to do? Would you rather sit and think that everything you do doesn't matter or would you rather just go out and have fun and make use of what little time you have?
Have a friend that is addicted to drugs? Get her some help.
Have a friend that is addicted to drugs that you have a crush on? Get her some help and for the love of God move on.

Some people just need a reality check sometimes. Stop being proud of your inadequacies by posting them on a message board and fishing for compliments about how you should be changing your life around.

People who are very intelligent but do not apply any effort to their class work usually average Cs. However, I can see how you would come up with Ds and Fs with your school's grading system and if your teachers are putting almost all load on the homeworks.

Don't mind the naysayers. I can vouch to some people who did so bad in letter grades but took the SAT and ACT and scored really high. In college they excelled and made the 4.0 high school folks look like learners. You can do well and beat those with the numbers if you do know when to apply your knowledge. It's almost like a marathon. If you apply your speed so early, fools would think that the person behind you has lost the game. But really at the end if you picked up your speed at the appropriate time, the person ahead of you would be behind you and have no energy left.

Best of luck with your efforts. You'll find what interests you the most, naturally apply your knowledge and excel.
