My wife had never seen 2001 (or 2010) but had heard bits and pieces about it. She saw them for the first time this past Sat/Sun and thought they were awesome.

These movies were a set of the rare ones that I can honestly say "changed me."

RIP, Mr. Clarke.

This is sad news. He was one of my all time favorite writers, his work got me interested in science fiction back when I was a young teenager. :(
