Does anyone know how to include a .jpg scanned image into WinFax Basic v10?

Huh?

Funny thing, but I opened that fax software today and it had an attachment feature. I don't recall it working last time.

Hi guys, i have just found this tread,
i have an intelimouse explorer that hasnt been working very well for a little wile now, and i was really going to buy a new one , then i found this tread.
U guys are all from the US arent you? Does anyone know if this will be covered in Europe too? Anyone has a tel. no or Fax no. that i can give it a try?

Thanks for the help in advance

I called about replacing my Intellimouse with IntelliEye. My mouse has been acting quirky such as it will completely lose functionality from time to time. To fix that I have to plug and unplug the mouse for it to become operational again. You do not need to fax the bottom of your mouse to have Microsoft send a new mouse; however, if the mouse is out of the warrenty range from when the product was actually available they will offer the closest resembling mouse with a replacement cost. I was offered the new Intellimouse for a charge of 14.95. I can get a better mouse for free after rebate though.

Can you guys just LET THIS FREAAAKING THREAD DIE!!!!!

Your the one who posted to it 6 hours after the previous poster. It was on its way down...

I just replaced an ailing MS keyboard thru this... sweet.

However, I did ask about the Mouse deal - and guess what... you now need to provided a copy of the sales receipt or if that's not available, a copy of both the bottom of the mouse AND the boxtop SKU.

AHHHHHHH!! I can't believe this! I thought the original one was bad, but the 3.0 should be safe - how wrong am I! it's been less than 9 months since I bought this....

I had to TAB all the way to reply and get into here.... Oh my god i still can't believe how ironic it is that my mouse DIED just as I am IN THIS THREAD!!!!

I'm running WINDOWS....

Somehow I feel like I'm a twilight zone... Do you think BG is somehow watching what I'm seeing online???? :Q:Q:Q

Nah, it's your computer. They have souls, you know. Just not quite the same as you and I.

Anyways, some time a year or so ago, I was reading ATHD, and one of the threads was about a MAG 19" monitor, and one of the posts mentioned that their monitor failed, and how they managed to find a replacement part to fix it. At the time, I currently owned this same monitor, as part of a multi-mon config. To make a long story slightly shorter, I did what I usually did when going to sleep, simply left the computer on and let the monitor go into power-down sleep mode. When I work it up in the morning, the monitor made some non-stop zapping sounds, and gave up the Magic Smoke. Apparently the HV section went, the same thing that failed on the other person's MAG 19" CRT. Mine was approx two years old at the time.

Ironic, no?

"There's just something about ... [ATHD]." 🙂

How appropriate. I tossed the receipt and the box away in December when moving. Now my battery cover for my wireless mouse is snapped.

I tried this with an explorer mouse that went dead and they alway's found an excuse to turn me down. So I did the wise thing, threw it away and bought a Logitech MX 700, woo hoo what a better mouse 🙂 thanks Microsoft for giving me the shaft or I would never known how good Logitech products were.

you have only those who abused this to thank

what do you guys mean by "replace"? i have an old microsoft mouse thats alittle defective. do i have to send them my old mouse before they send me the replacement or do they just send the mouse for free?

Read the posts ... 😛

But for the lazy ... yes ... MS will replace your defective mouse. Just call the number (don't have it but it is in this thread) and they will ask for a number off the bottom of the mouse. Then they will have you fax a copy of the bottom of the mouse and send you a new one, so you don't have to send your old mouse.

Well, I had just gone to the Boeing Surplus Store (er, uh, Junkyard...), and found a new bunch of surplused mice, one of which was an Intellimouse Explorer. After giving them 5 bucks, I tried it out at home and found it completely dead. I called the (800) 360-7561 number and then had me fax a scan of the bottom of the mouse. On that one fax sheet, they wanted to know about when and where I bought it, so I gave 'em a store name and city, and a guessed date. Then also had me type out the mouse S/N, since the scan was hard to read after faxing. The one thing they wanted to know was whether I tried it in other computers and tried other mice in the computer that didn't like the MS mouse. Naturally, I told them I tried all that. They're sending me a new mouse. Pretty good for 5 bucks!

this works for logitech too... i just got my replacement from logitech(i actually had a dead mouse)
they didn't need me to send back my old one.. i just had to tell them the serial number and the part number and they shipped me a brand new one in retail box
